Moos3h
Been quoted just over £200 to have Black Diamond discs and pads installed on the Arosa 1.0s.Seems ridiculous on such a small car, but the brakes are TERRIBLE and Seat have had everything apart and confirmed that they are 'just like that - Arosa brakes are poor'.Well, that's no good. I've GOTTA have good brakes. So, would the Black Diamond upgrade make a big difference?Failing that, I'm stuck for ideas....Not going to do hub/caliper conversions or anything so it's either change the materials or the car style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Cheers,James
Moos3h
Oh, and confusing...I can't really tell what my discs are, solid or vented....They have like a small (0.5mm) gap in the edge of them - is THAT venting? It doesn't really feel like a vent, rather just a gap....?Just wondering, don't want to order the wrong parts!Cheers,James
Ramirez
Before changing the brakes have you considered changing the brake fluid for something better?worked for me and got rid of the spongyness (if thats a word).

Robert
Go for Brembo brakes - they do them standard fit although most places might list Lupo not Arosa
Tigz™
I cant imagen you will get any improvment in feel from using diffrent pads/discs.The only benifit with the above set up would be lake of brake fade.Unless you really abuse the brakes, I found the vented 1 litre brakes very good.Although I think Ive already said that.Does anyone think they sound expencive? Moos3h
This is the weird thing, I don't have vented ones! Should I? If so, could vented discs be fitted?Cheers,James
sleeky tdi
Vented disc would need new calipers afaik, r-tec are pretty pricey btw, they do a good job but you could get it done cheaper elsewhere! I had them do my suspension on my ka, cost £100 to fit and they dont do tracking so had to pay another £35 elsewhere to get that done!Lee.
