bigtar
Just wanted to know if any one has sucessful fitted an amp to there 1.4S version? Also has anyone added rear speakers to it? as I'm thinking of getting an amp and couple more speakers and buying Gti rear door cards to fit them onto what size are the rear in GTi?Cheers
M1 Lupo
Same as the front size, 17cm speakers. It will probably cost nearly as much as the speakers to get the GTi rear cover panels ???
milanio
im going to be getting my sub and amp in next week, i wouldn't bother with rear speakers in a car this size to be honest.
Tigz™
Its a matter of choice with rear speakers. Im not a fan, I like pure base behind me, but I know others who like to be surronded by sound. What amp and sub you buying
Max
If you wanna see some pictures of my rear builds i can post some(or better still, get someone else to post them for me!). Ive got 2 pairs of 7x10's in the back. Its not the most audiophile system but its fcuking loud. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

bigtar
Thx for all the answers I haven't decided what speakers I would go for depends I suppose on what Vw charge for the door cards.Depending upon that I'm looking at Alpine MRPF240 or Alpine MRPT220 one 2ch and other 4ch. I would only get amp if I decided to fit rears tho cos my sony head unit sounded alright powering 4 speakers before just makes it easier to wire up although I won't B doing it I can even see room to fit an amp style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
Tigz™
I know its a small space, but you can do quiet alot with it. You just need to work every thing out precicely (or know some one whos good with that sort of thing  ) and it'll be fine.

milanio
upgrade the two fronts and put a sub and amp in the boot, thats what im doing. better bass than rear speakers and not necessarily more expensive. my lightning audio DVC 10" sub should give me plenty style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
Max
Thats the best idea. Thats how i started, upgrade the front components and fill the boot with bass. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> As far as a balanced system goes, this will sound pretty good. I only put rear speakers in for extra volume at cruises and shows. Its cool though, vocalls are crystal clear even with the bass doing its best to collapse a lung. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
