Johnsbrokenlupo
Hi All, I have a 2002 lupo 1.4 petrol auto. I't done 70k mile and was quite nice but about a year ago it just would not start and has sat in my garden ever since. I have a basic code-reader and it sows no codes at all. The car seems to fire up for about 1/2 a second then dies. It seems to have plenty of fuel pressure. I have checked all of the fuses in the parcel shelf. I was using it a year ago, and it seemed fine then stopped - and gave an error code for the crank sensor which I replaced. A few weeks later it wouldn't start and hasn't started since. I am stumped as I have no error codes. Thanks John
ObjectiveAway
You have either 1) no fuel 2) no spark 3) no compression The rest of engine is made to adjust fuel and spark timing, You can test all of these in simple ways.
RobG
If it fires up and then dies after a second or so then there's more than likely an immobiliser issue, either the key or the reader are having issues.
