miodek89
Hello. Can anyone tell me how to replace the parking light bulb in the front of the Seat Arosa lift. I tried, but I can't get it out. And another question. To remove the front lamps I have to disassemble the bumper?
yeha
They are a pain. I tend to drop the lamp out so I can use long nose pliers. The bumper plastic comes off quite easily. 5 mins once you've done it a few times. There's screws in the slam panel, under the wheel arches and underneath if you've got the undertray fitted correctly.
miodek89
And what pliers do you use? This light bulb is simply pulled out or turned? Do you replace the lamp without removing the lamp?
yeha
It's a 501 bulb. Any long nosed plier will do. The bulb holder just pulls out.
miodek89
This is what the parking light socket looks like for me. I bought pliers long 160mm. I understand that I have to get it somehow and pull it out? Edited March 11, 2020 by miodek89
miodek89
Someone will suggest? Because I don't know if it needs to be pulled or twisted? I tried to gently pull it out, but damn it doesn't go: (
yeha
It comes out straight but takes a bit of force. Just make sure you pull on the body of the connector, not the wires. Those pliers will do.
miodek89
Thanks for the answer 🙂 Pull this protruding part number 1 or the wider number 2? When I take it out, can it be lightly greased so that it comes out easier later?
yeha
It's easier to hold the rectangular part 1. You don't need to grease it. Once you've got a feel for the force required, you'll be fine in the future.
