headunit dead, any ideas?

was driving happily along yesterday when suddenly my headunit just died, now it wont turn on or anything. i've checked all my fuses etc and they're all fine, quickly tried sticking my mates headunit in earlier on but that didn't seem to wanna work either sad.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

i was really pumping out the music when it died, dont know if thats relevant or not??

anyone got any other ideas as to what could have happened?

please help me out as i'm absolutely hating driving around without my tunes!

What headunit is it?

You have checked the fuses I know.

But lets start with the simple things first.

Have you checked the fuse under the steering wheel?

Have you checked the fuse behind the headunit? (If its Alpine, it'll have its own box, other brands may have it in the back of the headunit)

After checking these check there is power getting to your headunit, if there is we know its a fault with the headunit.

Take out the headunit, and useing a multi meter check both the ignition and live power cables.
