Patronu Posted December 1, 2014 Report Share Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) I'm looking to swap the actual bus sized steering wheel with a thicker and hopefully smaller one. The main thing that worries me is the airbag wiring so maybe a mk4 golf gti steering will fit? They're pretty cheap around here.Also the original front seats are anything but supporting and I bet they weight a tone each. I heard the mk3 golf recaros fit easily and they seem much lighter then mk4 ones. But I'm not sure about it. I know mk4s are easy to fit but they are too heavy for my tastes. mattarosa Posted December 13, 2014 Report Share Posted December 13, 2014 People have put newer steering wheels on lupos, I don't know the work involved but you get just buy a resistor for the airbag and do away with it if you wanted.
