  1. Hello all. Let's start from the very beginning. So I bought my Lupo GTI just under 3 years ago now - 28th June 2014 to be precise. I originally bought the car with every intention of making it a road going show car, after attending various local/nationwide shows with a select group of friends. The level of attention to detail of some of these cars was second to none and it was really quite inspiring to see first hand for myself. Growing up in the North West of England (Wigan) I was lucky to be exposed to a large variety of different automotive cultures. Be it everything from Japanese, German, VAG to Classic, High Performance and Concourse show cars. I started driving early 2012 and despite much controversy my first car was a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa D (Unlimited Edition) . However after 2 years of ownership in 2014 I decided it was time for a change. I had recently gained employment at Jaguar Land Rover - Halewood and my insurance started to dip a little. It was then I set out on the hunt for a car to tick a few boxes. I wanted something fun, nimble, fast but at the same time something that wasn't going to break the bank insurance/fuel wise. After weeks of what seemed like endless searching I fell in love with a Black Lupo GTI I had found on AutoTrader. The owner, a 56 year old lady from Rugby, Warwickshire. The car itself was absolutely perfect (Black, 6 Speed, Low mileage 64K, FSH, Completely standard and unmolested). It was everything I was looking for.
  2. Lupo GTI rear spoiler. DOES NOT INCLUDE BRAKE LIGHT this was damaged. There is also some damage on the near side underside of the spoiler as well. £70 collected or £75 posted Ono.
  3. Lupo GTI Engine and Gearbox Description: For sale is the engine from my Lupo GTI, it's currently on 100,000 miles (may be slightly higher, can't remember). Will include coil pack, plugs, leads, inlet and exhaust manifold. Can include ECU + immobiliser box + immobiliser chip (x2) for an extra £50. Regularly serviced and maintained, folder full of history for the girl! I have a video of it running and a video showing a compression test across all cylinders. I'm 90% sure the gearbox has been rebuilt within its life but will have to confirm, all the signs of it being rebuilt are there. Location: Ringmer - Near Brighton in the South East. Postage: Collection is preferred. I will not ship. I can deliver if pre-arranged (within reason). Price: £500 for the two £300 each if separate. Thanks for looking!
  4. Been having a few issues with my Lupo 1.4s (2001) and recently had the crank sensor changed This has solved most of the issues, but now my speedo isn't working at all, it sits at 0 and my milage hasn't moved at all, i didn't drive far but it should have at least registered something. the fuel gauge seems to be acting up slightly, only really when i go round corners it drops a fair bit, i know this will be normal cause it's going away from the pump, but it never used to do it. rev counter & temp gauge still working fine. used a diagnostic to check it, can't remember the code but it said something like 'Speed sensor A' any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
  5. Hey everyone Brand new member so forgive me any newbie mistakes!! I've had my littlw 1.0 Lupo E from back in 2000 and I was just going to drive her and drive er, eventually into the ground, with minium upkeep (and enjoyment). But something recently made me change my mind. No idea what it was, but I've made a start by using aluminium body filler to fill up a couple of cracks that were previously covered by masking tape. They've now been sanded flush, sprayed and lacquered and the car looks ten times better already. My burning question is...LPG!!! Liquid Petroleum Gas conversions for our beloved Lupos??????????? I've only been considering this the last few days and am amazed by the info and number of specialists already out there. Had a quick check on costs and LPG Wales do it for £620. Now i'm not sure if there's a huge difference in that or going somewhere else and paying £900 - i'll have to do more research. Also waiting for a few other companies to get back to me with quotes. As expected there are many 'DIY Kits' on Ebay. There's NO chance i'd be able to do something like that but does anyone have any other thoughts? Love to hear all comments - for and against LPG with reasons why. Thanks so much for your time guys. Cheers, Mark
