  1. So I’ve been a member on here for a few months now, never really posted much. I bought the Lupo for £450, had a few mechanical problems, I broke the gearbox when I first started driving so had my dad sort that. I wasn’t really going to do much to the car as I didn’t really think I’d keep if for a long time. Slowly started adding stickers to the back and thought that’s all that I’d do as I didn’t think it was worth spending much on a £450 car. Here he is today, haven’t finished with him at all. I bought a few things and before I knew it he’s completely different to how he was when I first bought him. Haven’t really got many photos of the “in-between” stages. But he was a standard Lupo 1.4s. Nothing more, now he’s a little more exciting. So here he is just after I bought him. As standard as you can get. This is about half a year later, as you can see, quite a bit has changed. (Lowered, modded lights/ indicators , Tarantula alloys, wind deflectors, a load of other stuff I can’t think of.) Rear end, partially smoked and yellow tinted lights, wiper blank, stickers. Pressed plates. Splitter. Still a load to be done, spacers are on their way for the rears, fronts will then be done eventually, got some plans for the steering wheel to be changed and hopefully straight through exhaust at some point, body work needs some attention and the wheels need a good refurb. oh and here’s the gearstick and gator. Cherry/Pro Bomb fitted. Mainly bought for the fact it’ll annoy the people that live nearby. 25mm Rear Spacers fitted also. Still need to get passenger side rear wheel painted gold, along with returning the others.
  2. Wondering if anyone else has any experience with swapping out the original Lupo steering wheel with a golf one. Is it as simple as taking the current one off, and putting a golf one on? Or are there any hacks that need to be in place for this to be feasible? Any information will be helpful!!
  3. Just wondering if anyone knows if i were to get mk5 gti front seats would they bolt straight in and fit or would i have to make custom rails?
  4. Hello fellow VW lovers ? New member here, hope you are all living the dream... I'm a Mk4 golf owner and I know this is a lupo forum but I have a little 1.4 Axp engine and interested in the mods you do to the little engines here. Currently I'm working on my car, valve job, clean up, tappets, timing belt kit and just looking around because I have her opened up and curious on what you are doing here ☺
  5. Hi I have a 02 lupo 1.0 with 175/65r13 steels Just got a new set of alloys ( VW Avus Scala snowflakes) and was hoping someone could help me find out what size tyre I need and/or if I need a spacer. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C411849
  6. Make: VW Model: Golf Gti (mk5) MOT: Jan 2017 TAX: Engine size: 2.0 Fuel type: petrol Description including modifications: Just testing the water on this one! Looking to sell my mk5 golf gti, I have owned this car for a couple of years now (having sold my lupo sport make way for it!) and the time has come to move on. The car itself is in very good condition both inside and out (there is the odd mark here and there but nothing unexpected for the age). It is pretty much standard apart from team heko wind deflectors all round and the wheels have been sprayed grey/black. It has just been serviced and the front tyres were replaced about 3000 miles ago. The main thing with this car is the mileage, most gtis have a good few thousand miles under there belt, mine has only 57000 (this will go up as it is my daily driver). Other than that there's not much more to say, everyone knows what to expect with a car like this and mine is ideal as a standard car or a good base to modify! Only selling as looking to get a smaller engined car for my wife to learn in! Location: east Yorkshire Contact: 07506757337 Price: £6500
  7. Ground down my drivers side more to try and clear the carpet but it's still getting stuck I ground it so thin, the welds cracked so I welded them up + a little more width for structural support. Has anyone modified these further so that they don't catch at all? Thinking of grinding the welds out and beating the panel deeper so it can be ground further down, creating more clearance Thanks Keelan
  8. A real quick question does any one know if these fit a lupo?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-4-Mark-4-Custom-Air-Con-Knobs-Heater-Dials-x-3-BLACK-NEW/321500320168?_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D25291%26meid%3Dbb5c2f04419840c79cd5b1612fb280bf%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D10621%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D24%26sd%3D321500320163 Thanks Kailum
  9. 10. Hi, I have a golf 1.4 16v 75bhp, (tried posting on golf forums but got no help at all) its an x reg, it has a polo 1.6gti throttlebody, injectors and inlet manifold. Also has an induction kit, uprated HT leads & a scorpion backbox (if that matters) At the minute the air/fuel mix is all to cock (i think)it wont rev past 2-3k with foot flat to floor, but it will gradually go past 3k if you gently press it then you can floor it and it will happily rev to the limiter. Also if you try to floor it at 2k revs it sort of misfires and sounds like its backfiring through the intake Does it just need a re-map or should I try putting the 1.4 injectors back in and removing the induction kit, because i still have all the spare parts. Cheers If it does need a remap where is the best place to get one?
  11. Any one know if you Can fit Golf 1.9 tdi injectors to a lupo 1.4 tdi?
  12. Unfortunately some tit has smashed the casing off my OS wing mirror. looking on ebay they have very few lupo replacements that are pre-painted, most come primed. however they do have pre painted ones for a mk4 golf. someone told me that the mk4 golf mirror casing is identical to the OS lupo casing. can anyone confirm if this is true? Cheers!
  13. Is it possible to fit the 1.8T engine from the MK4 Golf GTI into a Volkswagen Fox? Do they share the same chassis? Has anyone done it? If I was to buy a MK4 Golf to use as a donor car would it be possible? I see a VR6 Fox on YouTube but that was a specially made Spanish rally car Help is much appreciated
