I had 15x8 et 14 on the rear of mine. They will poke like crazy on the front though.

long time no speak, anyone had a bash at one of these wx subs yet. cheap as chips for JL gear... Considering 2 of these for the system i'm in the process of putting together.. just curious about the quality as its either 2 of these or a single sub (not sure which yet possibly a W3, type r, rainbow hammer something like that), but with the mounting depth on these being quite shallow it would be good for what i have planned. also they look pretty cool which isnt really a big deal but its still nice lol. cheers all Glen

it might be. i bought it off a guy that had got it from a garagei think. it originally ued to sit around the corner from me in bangor and he traded it in to a garage. new guy bought it.. couldnt insure as he was 21 so i go it for cheap!!! i do love it but u get the odd light come on for a second ever now and again and your heart drops lol.. im not sure on the arches i did think they were a touch large for a gti.. the guy who had it for a couple of weeks before me changed the exhaust to this one as it had a sports exhaust apparently. it makes an epic sound so will stay as is.

Hi all Just back from a years travelling in australia and indonesia. after searching for a car in my price limit for ages i stumbled across this little gem. wanted another lupo but my first one cost me a fortune so my next one will cost more lol Her name is Robin the red gti and its a clean enough motor with a wee bit to do on the outside..inside is real clean though so im happy about that.engine is 8v just had a big service with timing belt etc. only aftermarket thing under there is a k&n. first up chrome badges as i hate black ones. having problems with the full beams not working.. it has some laquer peel around the rear windows which will need sorted. one of the clips on the grille is snapped to so may just get a badgeless grille and fit a chrome badge to the back. anywho took these snaps fresh when i got it home so hadnt cleaned it or anything but it came up well with some back to black and a wash. sweet cheers folks Glen

my years travels of australia and indonesia have just came to an end so im back in sunny northern ireland for a while anyway. time to get back into a dub of some sort. probably not a lupo unfortunatly (well for the time being anyway) as i spent a fortune on the last one and my next one will have to be a shed load better. anywho just thought id say hello and hope to grace the members rides section with a new toy soon. toodle pip Glen

i ran a similar alpine setup to that for a while before i moved to a pioneer sub... for someone who just generally likes to listen to music its great. made the lupo shake plenty.

got all my camera kit sorted i think. panasonic tz6 2 x rechargable batteries 4GB and 8GB class 6 cards gorrilla pod job done i reckon. finally got everything i need, clothes sleeping bag etc.. away in 3 weeks. yippee Glen

id say its doable at the back with some serious arch pulling and camber, but even if u could do it at the front id say it will look daft. i ran my 15 x 8 et14 at the front to c if i should move to 8.5 at the rear and they looked pretty crap. mayb look good with camber..

Haha wat a topic. from wat i read my only concern is you like halfrauds to much but its ur motor do wat u like. a properly well done full modded motor can look ace i just personally wouldnt want one. good luck.. Glen

would have thought u would get away with it. those tyres should give just enough clearance.wouldnt be serious arch work either way. i reckon u'll be fine.

its not exact but if ur trying to do it quick in ur head its roughly 6mm per half inch dish. thats how i worked out my rms to get em on anywho.

Gutted i couldnt make it this year but australia has me completly fleeced. just read through and thought i'd just be coming on to say glad everyone had a great time but some mixed reactions. anywho at least i didnt taint my experience last year if it wasnt as good, but next time i'm home and have a motor i'll be back. be warned haha.
