I figured it out a while back ; ) Just grease you bootlid hinges and rubber stops at the bottom this will stop the noise, if your like me I tightend everything up to try and find it, losen your rear shocks of slightly. problem solved

All fitted properly now guys, I'll get some photo's later or tommorow I had to cut a slight piece out and re weld a piece in looks gd.

Ive got a picture of it fitted before modifying it, notice the resivour on the left. I like it, does it look out of place?

Yeah I think your right. Ive fitted it, Im going to cut and fabricate something to get around the resivour im not happy with it.

My front strut brace arrived this morning, very happy with it as it looks great. Started to fit it this afternoon and OMG it is a load of crap... I finaly fitted it after about 1 1/2 hours of fiddeling around, Im slightly worried though the left base plate of the strut has pushed the brake servo resivoir ( plastic bottle thing ) over about 1/2 inch should I be worried. Please help kinda worried lol

I think your right dude, I can not find any information saying that they wont fit. I believe the gti disc is 5mm thicker, I might give it ago see wht happens.

Heya guys, right before purchase some 280mm disc's can i do the g60 carrier coversion on my sport to fit the bigger disc, a friend of mine has done it to his gti. Thanks

Can this be done, Im interested in putting gti 6 speed gearbox onto the sport engine I heard that you can not do this because of the linkage. Wht if i were to change the linkage as well? Thanks simon.

hmmm interesting thread, I used to work for a company called Tran X building dog boxes and lsd's. Quaife were our main competition, Most if not all our customers though our products were better made and stronger. The prices were slightly cheaper than quaife to, we used a better material. The GTI does't need a limited slip diff, surlely you would be wasting you money. I do not think you would even notice a difference, the GTI does not have enough power to lock the diff. correct me if i am wrong but if you were pushing 160-170 bhp then maybe. I do not want to be negative. but its a expensive mod that you would not get the benifits from.

Costs money, why pay a garage a couple of hours labour ( £45 Pr Hour ). Anydoy can fit one as long as you dont mind getting a little grubby.

Custom chrome is around the corner from me, Ive heard fairly good comments from that company. I would never get a company to fit a manifold, just get a raceland or a gti manifold and decat and your well away.
