Hi, I brought a gorgeous little white 1.0L lupo in july 2008 with about 62k on the clock for £1900. Since then circumstances have changed and I do a lot more driving than I anticipated. Unfortunatley my fuel tank doesnt appreciate regular 180mile round trips down the m40 very much and I think its time to upgrade to something with a little more power and a little less drag. As much as I love her I really cant afford the cos of motorway driving in it. But, I have no idea whatsoever of how much its worth now. Spec: 1.0L Lupo T reg (1999 i believe?) FSH with 2 services since I've had her done by a friend who works for VW, All genuine parts, reciepts etc. Dent in passenger side wheelarch and a cracked front bumper after a sleepy driver on the other side of the road forced me into a pole one early morning but apart from that in a generally very good condition. Totally standard except it now has a sunroof (gurantee ran out just after i brought it but no problems) around 85 on the clock, maybe a little more I cant remember the exact amount. Inside, there ae a couple of stains on the seat after a friend burst a can of coke and it went flying. however I'll probably get it washed/valeted inside and cleaned up before selling. The car doesn't have cental locking, electric windows or power steering, but it was perfect as a first car for me and made me much more aware of my steering from it. I've tried looking through what is currently on sale but it seems like most other cars are modified so I cant really get a rough gauge on how much it is worth. If anyone has any kind of ballpark figures of how much it could go for it would be great Thanks

just after buying my car July last year my boot lock broke. I got a new barrell but never got round to getting it fitted. the key turns in the lock, but nothing happens to the mechanism so the barrell literally just spins. after getting my car washed today, and the guy that hoovered it not understanding 'no dont open my boot' i lost a shoe as the boot flew open down the A404 towards wycombe! so now my problem is i have a tied down boot, a boot lock barell and no idea how to fix it. any help on how to change the barrell/if it is only that? Thanks

i havent seen it round here before, it was so nice! i couldnt tell as there was a car next to it and i was driving, so didnt see too much of it!

thankyouu it took about 3 1/2 hours in total to swap both of them over!

currrently with MartyP trying to swap our bumpers, back ones are fine but were finding it impossible to remove the front ones got the badge bit of the grill out but cant get out the headlights or bit where the indicators are we need to take it all off- including the bit with the number plate any help would be great please!!!!

lol not really, majority of it is around town really, so going nowhere fast. had a full service just over a month ago, and its been running a lot better since then

similar thing happens with my house. a load of little kids alwayssss kick balls throw stone/bricks etc at the wall surrounding the garden. if the ball comes over we keep it i go and ask them not to kick it against the house wall, if they dont listen after 3 times i take the ball off them their parents do absolutley nothing about it, even though they must have heard me shouting. ive even found a few of them sitting in the bush outside my 2nd floor bedroom window (which is level with the windowledge) and peering through it. i can see how annoyed you must get, i get fuming just from them kicking balls against the house, if it was hitting my car i would go mental. if the fence is on their property legally its theirs. but if you can prove they've damaged your cars and can show it (cctv??) then you might be able to do something. but then again when a brick was thrown through my living room window the polices response was 'theyre kids'... what do you expect kind of thing.

lol im thinking about it, been saving for a while but just got a nice toasty tax rebate so im quite feeling for some coilovers. once ive reached about 60 its fine, its just getting there that takes the time. its okay when i err make the most out of the gears but when im trying to drive sensibly its more just chugging along. taking the back seats out seems very appealing, just need to get rid of all the crap thats in my boot first. mikeys gti shows such a difference with the interior out. thankyou for all your help, definaltey something i need to look into more, as a lot of it i didnt understand, was just hoping there was an easy fix also 50mpg?!?! i get nowhere near that. used 3/4 of a tank in about 110miles the past few days!

i have a 1l candy white. its so nice when its washed but gets dirty so so quickly!
