  1. A mate of mines got a corsa C with an astra gsi engine with it but running various vxr parts (turbo, injectors etc I think) and that's running not far off 300bhp, goes like stink.
  2. Whilst I agree that vauxhall can't make a good chassis... I have been in a corsa vxr, and owned a lupo gti for nearly 3 years.... I know which handles better and it isn't the lupo.
  3. I drive it every day and it's more reliable than my gti was... Peoples opinions of renaults are so outdated it makes me laugh!
  4. Very funny 99jhm lol. It's a truly phenomenal car... Just a very thirsty one!
  5. I sold my gti and bought a megane R26 and now I can't just go for a drive for the sake of it as much as I could with the gti but it's definately worth it for the better car!
  6. That looks awesome! I'd love a half sleeve with something car related in it but the mrs has completely forbiden car related tattoos :-(.
  7. I love tattoos on women and your back piece may just be the best iv seen 714GT!
  8. There's a reason dubsteps about alot more than trance at the min... It's approximately 1000000% better!
  9. 1 - the 130pd engine 2 - a sense of humour 3 -

    Finally

This.... And dont just not declare them. Doing this reserves you a place in the same circle of hell as hitler, Gary glitter and Harold shipman.
  12. Don't you need the xenon ballasts?

    Finally

I wouldn't get excited till you've actually got it mate. As you said yourself, alot of them have problems that the seller has left out. But if it all goes well then congrats mate!
  14. 3 - 3.5k if you're lucky with it being cat D. I sold a 2002 one with 63k about a month ago for 4k.
  15. Driving since December 2006 iv done... 30k in a 1.2 Clio 35k in a lupo gti 98k in a vauxhall combo 1k in R26 Megane probably a few k more in other vehicles I didn't own at the time. 164k in 5.5 years = an average of 29.8k a year!
  16. With anything really it depends how you drive it, I can have it sat in the 40s if I drive it like a granny around town, or if Im giving it the beans its not too much above 10mpg. Most of the time if I'm just driving it and not too concerned about economy it's sat at mid to high 20s.
  17. I just don't see how they sell any vxrs... Styling aimed at 17 year olds who can't afford insurance and engine aimed at older people who arnt interested in the chavvy styling...
  18. Lol stryder! The suspension setup is more than capable as it is, although it would look ace! I drove a mazda 3 mps (most violent car ever, torque steered loads and handled like a barge), an astra vxr (too chavvy, torque steer, same interior as my vauxhall van), and I drove a TT 1.8T 225 quattro (very nice car to be in, just didn't click with it)
  19. Couldn't be less interested in fords to be honest. I drove a few different things but nothing had the same appeal as the megane!
  20. Cheers all. I absolutely love it, I'm fairly certain that you couldn't get a better all round car for the price of one of these, it's absolutely blown me away coming from the lupo. Still getting used to how much speed you can carry into corners and I'm fairly certain I'd run out of talent before the car ran out of grip!
  21. Taken the "megane" badge off the back today and removed the bonnet carpet aswell as it kept rubbing the engine cover and getting it dirty. Plan to 3M wrap the mirrors and badges and then potentially wrap some interior bits!
  22. Finally got round to adding some pics:
  23. The diff alone is worth the extra you pay over a 225. It's so confidence inspiring, corners like a housefly!
  24. Downhill, 50mph on motorway with cruise control on. 54.8mpg! I can easily have it in the 40s if I drive like a granny round town. 90% of the time I'm in the low 20s though lol.
