ok, so i have re read the thread, yes, its £65 but nowhere is there any real info on vagcom which i was really looking for. have checked ebay, found the cables but any clues to what software, ross tech is a bit pricey.. dont worry guys, im just one of those noobs with no posts.

iv had FK fixed height, spax krypton gas jobbies and KW V1s on my polo and can say the KWs are worth it. they are the daddies.

hi guys, just been pointed at this thread.. how much is the stalk from vw and also the vagcom gubbins, is it just a lead and some software? if so, is the software easily accessible? im used to digital elephants..

i am only 60mm down and it scrubs like a motha on the back and the front. the rears havent been rolled, what kinda size wheels and tires are you guys running on coils?

as pert the title, have spotted the stalk and fitting kit on DE. bay and wondered if anyone had retro-fitted one? im lost without it, being used to me cl daily! cheers

the pd150 idea is sounding good but not now, just want a cheap improvement. will speak to a few places and get it done. does anyone know what code gearbox i have also anyone know the size of the clutch, is it 216mm?

agreed, if you want good handling you totally get what you pay for. if you want the car 3cm off the floor then its not going to handle well anyway so get cheap

that sounds more like it, i wasnt sure if the same principles for petrol heads apply to diesel. dont want to make it silly but 120 is would be nice

yeah but what i mean, to fit a 6spd, as long as you get half and half of uprated clutch that will acount for a different gearbox spline. CG would make one. i just want a straight uprated clutch for it. btw does anyone have the 1.4tdi engine code please?

could you not use half and half, engine matched pressure plate, box matched friction plate? i might just pull it apart when iv got a spare afternoon.

all sounds good, does anyone know if the input shaft on the gearbox is the same as on the 085 code boxes? i have a spare helix paddle clutch almost new - the toughest you can get for a g40, rated to 300bhp and a poo load of torque. also, will removing the backbox not make it stupidly loud?

ok, so just got the loop tdi and i am going to get it mapped soon, BUT.. i have read that you can use some pd130/150 internals to up the oomph.. what internals can be used? are the pistons higher CR or uprated injectors? i cant see that shovein more diesel in there will help. also, has anyone noticed any gains from using an aftermarket filter? cheers and hi!

i do love the CL but its a pain in the ass to fuel. can get over £100 in the tank i dont want to do much to it. bought some aero wipers off the bay and a shorter aerial, thats about it so far. need some speakers but not sure what to get. need to stop the one door pod rattling a bit too but dont want to sound deaden it cause i want to keep the weight down.

As posted in other topics, i'm new around these parts, had a couple of G40s before and a CL500 as a daily. Yesterday i went up to Cumbria to buy a lovely little loop from Picola - and its ACE! Dont have any big plans for it, but what i do want to do is- roll rear arch lips, 280mm brakes up front, remap, possibly rear disks. aero wipers on the front, black headlining and a few trim bits, coilovers dependant on success of arch rolling. just in case you dont know what he looks like... and the daily drive..
