Wondering if anyone knows the exact size of the orginal gti exhaust system (not the tailpipes) otherwise the size of the joiner needed to fit over it to put it back together ?

Was an awesome day! Had a good blast with Huw over the mountain, convoy was cool to watch in the mirror, as Ed said would of been better if we could of all sat on the same table, glad i could make it, was a fitting day to bring the lupo back out from hiding since last september.

The end that fits onto the ball joint of the selector arm on the gearbox.

Would i be right in thinking that the earth wire goes to the top starter motor bolt and the bracket is held on by the lower bolt ? Anyone fancy poping there head under there bonnet and taking a look... as ive slept to many times since stripping the car down... Photos would be a plus! Regards

Lets try this again! Needed 1x GTI Xenon Ballast pack, as fitted to the bottom of the headlight, needed so car can be mot'd and go back on the road! Come on someones bound to have one spare there not using or sat around untill they can get all the other bits needed to convert to gti lights!

Do you really need it ? Been looking for a ballast pack for a while now, even had a wanted topic for one which has vanished!

Well im in the process of doing it, the bellhousing side is pretty much the same, didnt look at the rest of the box as i needed to replace my bellhousing side of the gearbox after having the diff rebuilt as it had put a hairline crack in the casing which could of been repaired however i chose to just replace it

Update* This is shared with other vag gearboxes such as an A3 for anyone else with a problem to there gearbox casing, note this was also for the 6 speed version.

Ah right, not trying to sell it now then ? I was gunna see if you wanted my rota rb's for it that used to be on my GTI, it so needs bigger wheels to fill them arches. Gutted you've got Grey GTI, thats the colour i wanted so bad, found one but the guy messed me about so ended up with the black one You've prob seen mines poorly atm
