  1. Whoa steady mate did i upset you somehow? Yes i did stop and think about the wiring, exposed the looms and carried out wiring checks. No broken wires and its getting power Locating pin and also there is a raised corner on the mani at the back left-hand side which along with the locating pin stops the GTI manifold from bolting down into place. Diameter is smaller too. airbox fits on ok but internal diameter is smaller.
  2. Well its official, GTI throttle body will not fit a 1.4sport Next problem i have is.. when i connect the multiplug up and try to perform basic settings on the used GTI body, if fails too, reads the same fault codes as my own one Basic settings not performed and throttle osition sensor 1 implausable signal
  3. The centre bore is bigger than the 4x100 PCD mate, heres a pic to demonstrate, I can bolt the wheel to the adapter and then bolt the adapter to the hub right through that centre bore Similar set was on an estoril blue mk1, never seen them on a mk2, these were the first set chris bought but decided to go with 16" factory chrome jobs
  4. Impossibility mate, centre bore is over 100mm But yeah i may use em on the loop
  5. Well the lupo went away for a while but i've been working on it again recently. Had a play with some rims and my 5800, cant say im impressed with the pic quality Also been working on the rotbox caddy to get it lower, strut tower 1.5" up, control arm mounts 1" up
  6. Been at this thread all day onn and off Can't wait for updates
  7. Soon find out mate, as long as it runs for now i'm a happy man
  8. Yeah its eay to find, on top of the cam carrier/rocker cover to the right. has a multiplug connecting to it and one hex bolt holding it down.
  9. A mate picked it up for me, seems to have a waterway through it with 2 hoses that attach
  10. new sensor is a 5 min job to fit and needs no adaption etc. £35ish
  11. They are so not the same. got them side by side now
  12. Sport is a 1.4, but yes, if im not using the correct terminology here then its a sport thanks guys
  13. De-cat won't get my car running though really? differant part numbers and 1l is cable throttle whereas sport is DBW
  14. mine is a sport 100hp, i can source a 1.6 part cheaply, like, tomorrow and i need it running asap so wondered it it was worth fitting, even on a temp basis
  15. assuming it will fit, same multiplug and adapt ok, how will it run? surely must have been done already?
  16. Throttle body wouldnt take basic settings so its in the bin
  17. Thanks anyway. should say the fuel filter is new and the problem was there before the throttle bode was stripped and cleaned Ill be chucking plugs and a coilpack at it anyway but im sure its fuel related but vagcom will help once i can get it scanned again
  18. Hapnin. Trying to get the girls lupo out of hibernation but having problems. Firstly i stripped and cleaned the throttle body and replaced the G28 sensor as it was throwing up a fault each time after clearing it. There were other faults related to fueling we forgot to take note of but i can get it on VAG COM again shortly. Symptoms are it will start from cold, EML light on (and EPC intermittant) and rev ok till 4.5k then its like its hitting the limiter though the revs bounce more. Once hot it will bounce from 500-1k revs and wont rev any higher at all with throttle. then it dies and wont start again till cool. Any idea's guys? it was ok till it sat idle for 3 months.
