  2. not a big fan of any type of body styling,i like the loop the way it is ,thats one of the reasons i bought one but subtle little changes work ,lower it, put on a nice set of wheels and enjoy it,look at the members cars section for some inspiration

  4. its stamped/engraved not cast,on the flat casting above where the hydraulic clutch piston fits onto the box its quite difficult to see when the box is in the car as its covered by the thermostat pipes hope this helps
  5. unbelievable,is this for real?? if you want a cossie go and buy a sapphire £3k will get you one then youll need 5k to insure it
  6. yep we had a chat at dub mania we used a "wet system" which as you know injects both fuel and no2 think it was made by cold fusion from the states, it only ran 2 solenoids though, but you could change the jets to regulate the gas/fuel flow looking back it was a bit hit and miss it will make your vr go very well, like you say if its progressive there shouldn't be any problems
  7. i used to run nos in my mk1 golf with a g60 in it about 6 years ago was one of the quickest in the country, long before the big 1.8t conversions best time up the pod was 12.9 sec not bad by todays standards we used 150 bhp jets, that doesn't mean you get 150 bhp though it also only worked on full throttle via a micro switch on the throttle body and it was very expensive, at the time the retail price for the gas was about £8 per lb fortunately i owned a tuning company so bought it in huge quantity's but boy did it make the car go we sprinted the car for a couple of years but towards the end the engine was starting to rattle it died on the rolling road, when for some reason when the car started the system was live and injected loads of gas into the engine it reved like an f1 car,and spat its internals all over the place 5 mins after this pic was taken,it was scrap

  18. ran 17's on mine for a few weeks when i first got the car years ago was waiting for my bbs's to be referbed the offset was quite high et40 and the tyres were 205/40/17 there was no rubbing what so ever and the ride was surprisingly very good no where near as good as 15's but not bad all the same
  19. think the insurance companies have had a good kicking this year, flood claims etc and unfortunately its the average man in the street who foots the bill with higher premiums having said that mine came down to well below £180 fully comp, protected ncb,100 excess however I'm 44,been driving for 27yrs haven't claimed for over 10yrs,and that wasn't my fault!!! when i was 20 i was struggling to insure a 1.0 mini metro let alone any thing with a gti badge on you could try increasing the excess you pay if you claim, that sometimes brings down premiums
  20. jesus you are worse than dom when it comes to wheels your bbs look stunning dom has a satin black set of these, think i might get them off him for winters if you decide to sell im sure they wont hang about for long
  21. bbs's just lovely though personally think 8" are to wide on a gti have tried many combinations and have found 7.5" to be perfect with a little arch work, they can be slammed you may have rubbage issues if you go any lower it does look awsome though
