  1. They do use different boxes. 1.4 Sport box is the same as 1.0 box

    quik help

Warm water and a scratch remover compound or tar remover. Try Meguire's Scratch X, but dont get too carried away, else it'll dull your paint. You have been warned, LOL!!! Beaten to it by Mr Brayshaw
  3. I have these that I'll let you have for a good offer
  4. On the Clio, the cable runs out to the right, and you can adjust it there. Should be fairly similar, apologies for the non-Loop content!
  5. Not entirely sure when they changed over TBH. You'll see the cable feed straight to the side of the throttle body, I'll get a pic off the one on my clio...........
  6. People have been very happy with TA Technix as far as I've heard. I'd go with them over the Vmaxx, as they have probably been made in the same factory, just they have different paint/stickers so that'll save you a few quid for some wheels. You decided on wheels? Whats your budget?
  7. I'm in Somerset. Just thought I'd ask, as I can tell you of places not to take it to around South West/Bristol! Let us know how it goes, but just as a bit of ammo when you go in, say that it sounds like your pinion bearing is on the way out
  8. Welcome Chris, What year is your car? As if it's a later one, it will have a drive-by-wire throttle. I have the same thing with my car, I've just learnt to live with it, as I'm not sure whether i can be adjusted. If it is an earlier model, with a cable throttle, you will be able to see the cable on the right hand side of the throttle body when you go to clean it. Should be able to take up the slack from there.
  9. Thanks Tigz! Garage is; Nationwide Autocentre, Weston-Super-Mare 01934 612 368 - Been speaking with "Dave" Gearbox Specialist is; Gloucester Road Gearboxes, Bristol 0117 954 1424 Gloucester Rad said they are really badly pitted and it's clear that it's wear and tear. But as I said, your help is greatly appreciated

You mean the one's that fit inline with your air intake? I wouldn't bother!
  11. Well, yes that would be great. I'm not sure whether they'll budge though. I'm stuffed now though, so any help I can get would be great. Just I don't have the money to pay the bill. Did you want the Garage's number or the Gearbox place's number?
  12. OK, fair shout if you use a specialist Just thought it may be cheaper to get a new back-box made up by Longlife or similar, if you needed a whole new back-box. Not sure how they fit the valve in, I imagine it would be press-fitted. If it was on my car, I'd take a piece of wood, hold it against it, and tap it back in with a rubber mallet.
  13. Where are you based? Is they a Longlife Exhaust centre near you?
  14. Not too sure about that to be honest. Do they have your car? Would be best to take it somewhere that specialises in transmissions. Where are you based?
  15. OK, a quick update. I am f*cked Called the guy who inspected it, and he is adamant it is Wear and Tear, he nor the warranty company are budging. Now I am faced with £1k bill. Not happy
  16. The Pioneer looks lovely, nice and simple. Looks like it would fit in with the Loop interior nicely
  17. Well I can't definatly say that is what is wrong with your car, just mine was making a similar noise. It's difficult to determine exaclty what is wrong over the internet! Take a look at my "Wear and Tear???" thread http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=47658
  18. Just type "Lupo lowering springs" into Google, will come up with several hits.
  19. I had exactly the same thing. Does it get really noticable in 3rd and 4th? Garage took the 'box apart, and the main bearing had failed, taking out the input shaft and syncro rings on 2,3 and 4. People on here reckon recons can be had for a few hundred quid. Get it sorted now before it goes totally.
  20. Minilites would be awesome! Think they'd be 4x4" (101.6) though.
  21. A panel filter replaces your standard paper air filter inside your standard airbox http://www.kamracing.co.uk/manufacturers-5...-4-16v-160.html
  22. I would willingly let you use mine, if it wasn't in bits in a garage in W-S-M
  23. Should be able to get some off the 'Bay of E. Welcome Becky!
  24. I dont think Super Unleaded will make any difference unless your car is designed/mapped to run on it.
