FOR SALE My beloved Lupo GTI is for sale, it just doesn't get used as much as it should. It's time to let go as I'm looking to get a new car and need to raise funds. Those who know, my first Lupo GTI (2 owner 2003) suffered an accident a month or so after I paid over £1000 to re-build my gearbox from a VW/Audi specialists when the syncro-ring stopped it going into 1st gear. Insurance company wouldn't give it back and instead let me buy back the engine, box and interior parts before the breakers sold them on to public. This is my second Lupo with my original engine and rebuilt 6-speed gearbox transferred (still has warranty). The car is in full working order and all work was carried out by the same VW specialist. All receipts are present and will be included. Spec as follows: Moon Silver. Sunroof. 3 owners. 62k genuine miles (mostly motorway work and back). Serviced recently. Cambelt, waterpump and tensioner change at 58k. New front discs, done just over 1k. New wishbones, bushes and ball-joints @ 61k. Dunlop SP Sport 2000 205/45/15 tyres all round with decent tread. 2x part worn Dunlop SP Sport 2000 included. VW Head unit with tape and CD player. Light smoke legal front tint and medium tint rear windows. Front seats have airbag option. TAXED TIL NOVEMBER, 6 MONTHS MOT Only issue is the rear lamda sensor needs changing and I have the part. The car has usual stone chips on the front and a small dent on the rear nearside quarter under the window, where some idiots tried breaking in when it was parked on the street. Also the alloy wheels are slightly kerbed and will need a refurb to bring back to showroom standard! The asking price reflects all this. All in all it's a sound car, doesn't need anything spending on it, just needs a new owner who will give it the use it needs! I'm looking for a quick sale, I am open to offers and would like it to go to someone here before I put it on ebay or sell to dealers. Located in East London/Essex. Call me on 07507315809

I had VW do my tracking and they still balls'd it up.. claiming my rear wheel was off camber (?)... they still billed me and didn't fix the problem... dealers.. really are stealers As for pulling under acceleration, I've always had it, guess it's down to not having a LSD?

On my Lupo GTI: I desperately need to know what the matching wire colours are for the wires connected (plug to socket) at the second lambda probe after cat.. This area got damaged and I'm failing MOT for a second time and it's doing my head in. Any help appreciated!!

It has a nice tone, the harder you accelerate obviously the louder it gets!

Slightly dusty all over due to storage. Measures 3-inch diameter at the tips and main exhaust has 2-inch. If you do it properly or have it fitted by somewhere half-decent, they won't hang low. I had these fitted and made up by Top Gear in St.Albans.

I will check I have all the bits and take some pictures. The tail pipe size is about 3-inch but will check and measure today.

Get a D-SLR you won't regret it and you won't be looking to replace it for a long time. Done this with my Canon 450D with 17-85mm lens. I'm gonna upgrade to the 5D mkII soon.

bossjohn is right about the 5-speed error, what a disgrace, sign of the times though. you are a mug if you accept. we ALL QUALIFY for finance! do some research boy. Car dealerships are banks in disguise since day one. Good luck if you accept. Get maximum warranty if you can and write to head office if local dealer (really a franchise) doesn't want to honour a repair that qualifies under supposed warranty.

well it's best to replace all joints/rubbers if possible, especially in my case seeing as i need to get my wheel alignment done again due to bad wear of the rubbers. hell at least the car will feel like new again when driving for the next 4yrs or so

yep, next week, friend said he'd help too. also going to change track rod ends at same time as per Olly's advice. make's sense

Did VW refund you for the wrong/mistaken throttle body and ht leads diagnosis? Whether it was their replacement/labour or not? I bet not! I paid out for Wheel Alignment to my local VW dealership recently and got my lupo gti back with worse steering then ever! When I complained about my driving back home pulling everywhere, they said my car had been abused causing damage. Took it to local Skoda dealership and they found my wishbone bushes were badly worn causing a false wheel alignment reading. Thanks VW for such a thorough service!

I did freaking do it! with VW Alan Day, booked in and 2 hours later after getting my gti back, she now pulls to the left and jiggles both ways on braking! Took it to local skoda dealership on advice from my sis and the main service guy says the bushes are all worn and would give innacurate wheel alignment readings! So much for VW quality of service.
