Hi Guys, Ok the glanza has been sold, and im off to look at a lupo on Wednesday and if everything is ok with it i will be buying it. Just wanted to ask some questions about the gti exhaust. I know you can get your 4-2-1 manifolds, but do can you buy any systems with sports cat's in them? or do you have to buy the cat seperately and weld it in? Also i keep seeing gti's with oval and twin exit tips, i know janspeed do the twinext system but do they do the oval or are these custom ones? I'm wanting and oval exit on my lupo. Any links would be great thanks! Oh and for an 02 lupo with low miles does 6k sound about right?

Regarding the mpg, you suprised in a good way or bad?

Yeah there was loads of stuff wrong with it, fair enough he drove it hard at times but arent "fast" cars meant to be able to cope with this? Its the typical stereo type of what people think of french cars, build qulaity is ****e. There was nothing wrong with it when he bought it may i add, and the mileage was 60k i think. Anyway the point i was making is for me being in both would/WILL choose the lupo anyday. Like you rightly say you can spend 5-6k and get a clio which i could afford, however due to running costs i know it would be a drain on my wallet. So thats why i'm personally choosing a lupo gti, as there more economical and i personally like the rare factor and look of the car, especially when its on its arse

I'm currently looking for a lupo after i sell my glanza, which is very soon i hope! I've driven my mates clio 182 which he had for 6 months. He then got rid of it as loads of things started to go wrong. You have the speed but not the build quality i'm afraid, very fast dont get me wrong with nice seats but i know i'd rather get a lupo. He bought it for 6k, 6 months later he couldnt sell it and in the end it sold for £3200, so he lost a lot of money on it. Thats why ive had toyotas for a few good years now as like v dub the build quality is second to none.

I know 75k isnt much but i'm looking for one with lower miles than that i'm afraid, will be keeping the lupo for some years i think Thanks anyway, hey if you kno somebody who wants a low mileage glanza, email or pm me please, I will be putting it up for sale this weekend.

Thanks for that Phil. Clairey Fairy - I would yes, whats the mileage? I'm afraid it isnt white, but it is the rareset colour and year. It's a red 98 glanza v with only 77khm on the clock which is only 46k!! Very low mileage car which are getting hard to get hold of. My glanza is running around 160bhp, it has no silly mods just running at the standard 0.8bar. I'll look for some pics of yours when i get in tonight, i'm currently at work so i cant view soome of them.

Hi everyone, Been toying with getting rid of my starlet turbo (glanz v) and buying a lupo gti for a while now, but didnt really know anyone who had one and every garage i went to didnt have any in. Anyway i was told there was a blue one in a garage near me so i went down today to have a look. I took it for a spin and i must say i was impressed, not as fast as my starlet obviously but still nippy to say the least. I would snap it up straight away as i know blue is quite a rare colour only thing is i'm after one with lower mileage as i plan to keep this car for a few good years, and this has 60k on the clock. The only thing i thought could be better is the gear change, i feel it could benefit to a quick shift kit. I used the "search button" which people seem not to use and found that B&M where mentioned. Is this correct? Is there any other kits out there? I will definately be putting up my glanza v for sale at the end of the week, and when thats sold getting a lupo gti!

Hi everyone, ive always been into the dub scene and jap scene, even had a mk3 golf 1.4 with 4 gears for my first car!! Anway we've always had toyota and vw's in our family, and im thinking of geeting a lupo gti if i can find 1! I'm currently driving a very low mileage toyota starlet glanza v (1.3 turbo) with a few subtle mods, in the rare red factory colour. Its faster than the lupo but i just feel its time for a change, and go back to the dubs again. Do you think i could get a swap or p/x? or would it be better to sell my car first then get a lupo? i would prefer a swap,but want something with quite low miles and a clean example. Thanks Drew

Thanks for the reply, yeah ive looked at other vdubs but i like the shape of lupo and how you can transform its look with some nice coilovers and rims. The t sport is around the 109bhp mark i think, but i have an induction kit and jap box on it, its currently booked in for its coilovers to be fitted on the 9th of next month, but once thats done, thats it, gonna leave it as it is. For what i could sell it for i could get a sport and have a bit left over for a supercharger, thats what i'm thinking, but that wont be for a few months yet just trying to gather some info on the matter. I'll carry on searching and see what i can find, thanks Oh and is there any common faults with the lupo?

Hi im currently driving a yaris t sport which is a great car, but im after something a bit faster. I have been looking round this site today and gathered a little info on a pos future buy for me. Im just wanting to know if anyone can help me in the power gain department. How much are sports and how much are gti roughly? Also what power mods can be done to these? Ive seen a sport with supercharger on it think that was around the 180bhp mark. Ive also heard that you can drop the 150 golf engine in or 1.8turbo engine in the gti also Is there anything else you can do? i think i saw throttle bodys aswell How much will these cost and what are the expected power gains on these mods? Im thinking maybe sport and supercharger conversion but im not sure Any help would be greatly appreciated Oh and any tuning sites would be great to, i'll keep looking around to see what i can find, thanks again BTW there some mean looking lupos on here!
