  1. my fave modded arosa ever who owns it now? and is there a new build thread going on?
  2. err yeah that's what I'm doing, attention seeking the whole 'arch rolling' thing was just facade, I havent even got a car really
  3. twice the threads = double the chance of getting a helpful and informative response. were you neglected as a child?
  4. yeah I'm tempted to have a go myself... the air ride is eemptying my wallet, dont really want to pay out for arch rolling if i can do it myself they are saying £150 an arch "because we cannot guaruntee that there will not be any damage to paintwork" so i guess the £150 goes towards fixing any paint if it cracks. but £600 for all 4 corners
  5. alright people... getting air ride on my Arosa sport in a few weeks, going to need the arches rolling. the company supplying/fitting the air ride does offer the service.... at £150 per arch which seems extortionate to me. has anyone with an Arosa or Lupo sport (not the GTi model please) had their arches done in the london/south east area? any recommendations? prices? cheers Mike

  7. absolutely love this car, cant wait to see the next incarnation
  8. I drive a black mk2 arosa on black 928 wheels, and it dfeinitely hasnt been stolen :)

  9. definitely not me mate, im on the south east coast!!

  10. there certainly aren't many of them around, apparently there's a red GTi on Rayvern and I remember that red diesel arosa on air that was featured in PVW a few years back.
  11. really nice car, sits great - what coils are you on? you did all that work in a week impressive!
  12. HavAir air ride in t-minus 4 weeks straight pimpin
  13. I dont mind spending a bit, and tbh the practicality of it appeals to me (i'm getting old ) looking into those HavAir kits that were advertised at UD, £1695 fitted
  14. right... my TA technix coils have started leaking on the rear shocks. Dont see the point in spending big money on coilover kits (KW etc) as none of them seem to go especially low on the rear, whether you spend £200 or £700 for arosa/lupos, so Im considering air. has anyone on here got airride on their arosa/lupo? what kits are you running? where from/how much? any issues? reliability? lowness? chassis mods etc... I remember a red Arosa on air from ages ago, think it was featured in PVW. any advice would be great, thank you

  16. I know exactly what you mean I loved the wheels when they were polished but I neglected them over the winter, didn't really care for them at all and they ended up looking a bit dull. Moving away from anything polished/chrome now, I'm currently into keeping it subtle and moody looking. better pics on the way
  17. 165/40 r16 Nankang NS2, great tyres! pretty harsh due to the extremely low profile but they're ideal on little cars like these. got another brand new set sitting in the loft..... but might have a set of 8.5x17s on the way soon, so the tyres will be surplus to requirements and up for sale.
  18. the mk1 polo? I had loads of people interested in it when it was for sale, eventually sold to a guy in Wales who had some insane build thread for it, but havent seen any updates for ages and can't get in touch with the guy. Shame, it was turning into a 2 litre 16v Berg Cup monster!!!
  19. Cheers dude, matte/silver just required some careful masking before painting. I'm keeping the bump strips on... heard too many horror stories of them breaking or leaving nasty marks in the paint, also think these cars look too plain without them.
  20. Right, let's get the ball rolling... hopefully in a more positive manner this time This is how it currently looks, but a damn site cleaner after a good wash and polish last weekend. better pics up soon. Until recently, I thought this was as far as I would take it in terms of major mods, but I recently came on CL after a few years off and saw Joweys mk1 arosa in readers rides, this has seriously inspired me towards a more extreme approach
  21. my lazyness as opposed to the lazyness of those who wont just click on a link? ok. mods - feel free to delete, I'll post a proper non-lazy thread later.
  22. wow such a friendly and positive response, I feel all warm and fuzzy and people think e38 is bad
  23. greetings.... so I sold this a couple of years ago, it satisfied my old skool hunger for a while but then I decided I needed a nu wave in my life. Always fancied a mk2 Arosa since they first came out, something about the pastel colours and funky headlights appealed to me I guess by the age of 31 I should be driving something a bit bigger/faster etc, but I'm happy with it Here's what it looked like on the day of collection, totally standard... First mod was the addition of the Pslots which I kept when the mk1 polo was sold. Quite a tasty set, mirror polished by Pureklas and engineered to take a set of ultra rare Italian spec Pirelli alloy centre caps, also mirror polished. The car is a daily and I didnt really have any major plans for it.... until I spotted this at Worthersee
  24. ^ that is amazing! what a stance! any clues on suspension set up? my coils dont go anywhere near as low as the car above
