  1. Welcome mate. Love the clio, looks ace on BBS's
  2. Thats bang outta order m8! You should of smacked their heads together!! A good bodyshop should be able to sort it out if its not too deep. I had a lad smash a mirror off my first car (polo mk4) i went loopy, as I was sat in it at the time. When you've got your missus with you though you may as well pretend it never happened, if you know what I mean!! (anything for an easy life!!!)
  3. Standard imprezas are certainly becoming a rare sight, a bog standard one in years to come is gonna be worth a mint. My mates brother used to roll in a Starlet GT, amazing little car. When it was rebuilt it was one of the fastest starlets in the UK. Managed to dig out an old list of some of the engine mods: Ross Racing pistons, steel head gasket, Crower rods, Piper cams, ported and flowed head, lightened and balanced crank, Blitz hybrid turbo and wastegate, 440cc injectors, excedy paddle clutch, GReddy boost controller, 311bhp!! All this in a 1.3, and its definitely the fastest accelerating car i've ever been in. It was just so mind blowingly fast with seemingly endless amounts of torque and revs. Its when you've experienced something like that you start to understand why people try to improve/enhance something like an Impreza.
  4. I like the idea of colour coding those wheels, as the spokes are quite recessed into the wheel with a deep lip, hmmm
  5. Cheers man! I'm always thinking too far ahead with me cars, think a set of nice 15s would look pretty good. Quite like the Schmidt modernline 5 spokes 15x8s, the one piece jobbys they'd look pretty cool
  6. Bugger! Back to the drawing/thinking board
  7. Cheers dood! Not wanting to sound like an apple carrying brown-nose, but alot of peeps on this forum are extremely friendly and helpful. Makes a nice change, clubpolo was becoming a bit vicious. I'll keep you posted anywho, i'm off greenlaning now with a m8 in his jacked up lada niva
  8. Yeah i been emailing the girl selling it, it has got ABS. Its got full main dealer service history and the cambelt and the other bits were all sortd. The only thing bad i noticed was that in the front views the drivers side headlamp is steamed up, suggests to me a leak?
  9. Yep thats the colour, its sorta burnt orange/gold. Love it!! Already know what wheels i want for it too (see my avatar). Checked roof sounds cool, maybe not for me i like a nice stance, killer set of rims and loadsa subtle mods here there and everywhere
  10. The copper tdi is on pistonheads number is 668644, its an ace colour and no matter what one i eventually end up getting its gonna have Starmag wheels fitted (my avatar). The cruise control idea does sound ace
  11. 'limited to a rather pathetic 217mph' I wouldn't mind getting that outta my dub!! Looks great all in one colour tho
  12. Cardaft what car did you rip apart for the cruise control?
  13. Hello anna x yeah I'm going to look at two different arosa tdis, one of them is metallic copper colour and looks awesome!! I'm really hoping it turns out to be the better out the two cos it'll look schweet modded has yours got any mods?
  14. Thats ace cardaft!! I love the idea of fitting cruise control. Right thats it, my mind is made up a mk2 arosa tdi it is.... Can already picture it sat on a set of 13x8in Starmag rims slammed on coilovers
  15. Definitly gone for +omsu+h's design. Loving the front bumper and the racecar influences, awesome!!
  16. Just out of interest how difficult would it be to change the arosa rear lights to lupo se ones? I presume remove the original lenses/bulb holders and then replace with lupo bulb holders/lenses?
  17. Cheers niche. As soon as theres an arosa/lupo shaped vehicle sat on my drive i'll be letting everyone now about it!!!
  18. Cheers man! Really appreciate all the info, you've pretty much made me want to go out n buy an arosa tdi. I'll keep you posted on the outcome of my car hunt!! Cheers again
  19. Thanks for the info on the clutch/pedal box its much appreciated. I agree the arosa mk2 back lights are plain wrong, as are the bumpstrips. But overall I think I prefer the arosa. All depends on whats available to buy, watch this space!!
  20. I agree with you the front end is much better looking on the mk2 arosa, the rear lights look a bit chavvy, I would defo change them for lupo se versions or just smoke the standard ones. I have seen a Lupo tdi sport with the sports seats on a 51 plate, prob an optional extra from new.
  21. The other option I've been thinking about is getting a loop 1.4 tdi sport. I'm obsessed with this black/red interior combo sorry folks!!! Would this model suffer from the pedal box problem?
  22. I really like the look of them, I think the headlights look bit more aggressive and generally I've noticed the equivalent lupo's are more expensive. But the pedal box fault that has been mentioned does put me off a bit
  23. I have heard about this pedal box problem a few times on this forum, doesn't sound too good but I suppose the fact that VW will replace it is a result. Does it just affect the sport 16v or any other models?
  24. Cheers mate i'll keep you posted, got two weeks off work so no excuse!!
  25. Yeah defo want either a loop or arosa. Had my fill of polos n fancy a change. Couple nice looking arosa 1.4 16v sports on net at the mo that I'm keeping an eye on. Both black with the two tone red/black interior hmmmmm
