  1. Yeah, that's the cookie. Name your price matey, so long as you can find it bud. If your garage is owt like mine it would take me ages. Cheers Mark
  2. Oh, I love you long time' if you have one. It's the one that screws underneath and not the one that fits into the radio slot is it, as I already havs one of those in my garage. Let me know if you have it and I'll buy it off you bud. Ta Mike. Mark
  3. Did mine last year. Really fell on my feet TBH, on Ebay this fella was selling a complete GTi rear beam off a 28,000 miles car with a 'Buy It Now' of £65.00. Needless to say I snapped his hand off and was straight down there picking it up before he changed his mind, and whats more it had attached to it Koni adjustable shockers (but the adjusters were snapped off) and KW springs on their adjustable height platforms. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  4. Snoops don't suppose you or anyone else has the part number for the entire cup holder (as in your attachment). In my Arosa I have a creditcard holder under my radio which is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. The fittings look kinda similar so may see if I can get hold of one and fit it in its place. Ta in advance style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> Mark
  5. It is a factory alarm and I kinda thought it would be built into the control unit, but really hadn't ruled out the fact that there may be some sort of antenna hidden away from view somewhere..Oh well. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> Mark

    SDi oil

Didn't know Halfrauds did their own brand 505.01 spec oil Ed. If all the fuss about 505.01 is just because it is a LongLife oil then I'm not fussed cos I tend to service all my cars very regularly, so hopefully the GTD Magnatec (which is not 505.01) will work ok for me?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> Mark

    SDi oil

In my TDi I have religously put in Quantum 5W40 oil, but it's not cheap. I usually get mine from GSF (about £26 ish) in Reading but have opted to change to Castrol GTD Magnatec now (10W40). I went to the warehouse and they were selling trade packs of 2 x 5 litre cans for £30 so I bought 2 (i.e 4 cans). I asked the same questions as you, i.e what is so special about PD 505.01 oil. I know it's a LongLife oil, but apart from that what is so so special about it?? Anyhow my Arosa seems to running fine on it (touch wood) and she definately starts up better from cold (must be the Magnatec abilities working). She seemed to clonk (diesel slap) with the Quantum but I don't get that any longer and according to my oil pressure gauge she is running pretty much identical pressures. Sorry if it's useless info for you, but thought I'd let you know my views on the subject. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  8. I had the same problem this week mate, and solved it like this:- http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=21121 Hope this helps. There may be an easier way but that's how I sorted mine out. They work fine now. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark LOL style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> We must have both posted that at the same time ish Max69vk. Mark
  9. It's funny you should say that, cos I actually fly helicopters. Sorry, it's just the way I initially read it guys, sounded like you ment the number plate had to be attached to the car vertically and not horizontally. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Mark
  10. Don't you mean horizontal bossjohnc?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  11. As far as I know, I think the 944 has 5 x 130 PCD style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
  12. Does anyone know where the receiver for the alarm/central locking is located? Is it contained within the alarm itself or is there like some sort of antenna. My blipper for my remote seems to be very weak and you nearly have to be right up close to the car to use the remote key fob to active alarm/central locking. And before you ask, yes I have replaced the battery (twice infact, cos I thought the first one may have been a duff battery) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> HELP! Cheers Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  13. I have Toyo T1Rs on rears and Goodyear F1s on the fronts, both are faultless tyres. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

    B*stards!

Sorry to hear bout your car fella, but glad you seem to have got a great deal of it out. It just adds insult to injury when you actually heard them doing it. They really are little shitbags!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Mark
  15. Cheers for your replies guys. Tried your suggestion Alfie, but it didn't fix it unfortunately. I then went with my first thought.....Disconnect the battery for about 10 seconds - Hey Presto I have one-touch on both my windows again style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> These windows seem to cause quite a few problems on the Arosas and Lupos. Cheers again guys Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  16. I know that there have been several posts about lecky windows, but mine has started to play up. They work up and down fine, but I still have (from my driver's door controls) one-touch on my passenger window, but have lost one-touch function on my driver's window???? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Any ideas,.... I am about to have a little look within the next hour or so. Ta in advance Mark
  17. Looks tidy mate, this is something I've been looking at doing for some time now just to tidy up the interior on my car. Mark
  18. It's a completely different car to drive. All the things that you described about your test drive I too experienced when I test drove mine for the first time. You can't floor it in 1st and expect it to respond like a petrol engined car, you need to drop it into 2nd and then it will pull, but there really is a knack to driving a TDi, it is a completely different car Wayne. If you go to a meet where there are guy/gals with remapped TDis, my advise is to go out in one of their cars, you might just like it. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark

I do like these, but opted for the MS Design one in the end. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  20. Yeah, no worries Wayne, I'm sure we can sort it out. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Had a great holiday thanks mate. Basically started in LA then onto Vegas then onto Lake Tahoe, then onto San Fransisco then onto San Diego then back to LA. Mark
  21. Thanks bud, I was just curious as in you sig you mention a pipercross induction filter and didn't know if it was any good that all. I appreciate you taking the time and looking for me all the same. Cheers Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  22. Mmmmm style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  23. It wouldn't be able to handle the current demanded by the gun. Complete change of subject for one second....love your motor, you have some interesting mods. Out of curiosity what BHP is she pushing? Cheers Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  24. Well that was a thought I'd had Gav. I'm hoping to get to a few meets this summer so can bring it with me, but the problem lies with heat to warm the paint. At home I can use my electric heat gun. Mark
