That looks good, I would have thought 165 would have been way stretched but it looks ok. I do want to be able to drive reasonably hard if needed. I like the look of the 185/45's but with it beeing very low and beeing normal arches not the gti ones I do need a stretch not just for the look. There is the in between size of 175/50's

195 wouldnt be much stretch though surely, Is there any pics on here or has anyone got any of the sizes above

I now have my wheels but need to order tyres, Im after the biggest streach but obviously not dangerously streached. I found these: 165/50/15 175/50/15 185/45/15 195/45/15 Im thinking the 185 will be ok and having the lower profile would look good. but would the 175 work as the profile is a bit moreso it may strech better, or s that going too much. I know 195 would be normal looking cos ive seen the same tyres on them. Does anyone have theres like this or know which would work best

I just had the chance to lower the lupo on coilies. I thought it start from the lowest and work up. I think I went a bit to far. Why does nobody stock TDI exhausts? Ive looked all over

Some of the drivers on the roads these days just make me laugh, I been driving 15 years (none of the old **** jokes please) I until last year was a profesional driver and had to keep my anger under control. I had to drive perfectly and needed to know every move and rule on the road. I havent been out a single day in them 15 years when I have come accross a f"%$ing idiot on the roads. I do recall a few year ago when some idiot cut me up at some lights, I cut him off and stopped the traffic, pulled him out the car and made him feel so small in front of his mam and dad and sister. I would have left it if it wasnt for the hand signals he gave me even though it was him in the wrong. He appologised and said he would never do it again. I think i could smell crap as he got back in the car. He was driving a corsa with the usual plastic stuck all over it with shity wheels on it and it was gold. looked a mess. Im normally so kind when I drive and if someone made a mistake I just let it go, but when hand signals and the horn goes and the lights flash I just snap into psycho mode. I hate crap drivers who dont play game. morrel of the story, dont get road rage cos police visit you at your house and ask questions

Sometimes I make a mistake in a un known area, sometimes other people make mistakes in my area but you can see if its genuine. Sometimes people are just F£$king stupid, at times when something like that has happened Ive chased them and made sure they know there stupid. Ive even cornered them in and stopped them and dragged them out the car and told them there stupid. I had that happen on the gti, when if first happened and I wasnt playing at the time I nearly crap. It happend quite a bit but it is true you can live with it. I have drove a lot of other cars and to be fair the lupo isnt too bad, hence im onto my 3rd. I havent had chance to play with the tdi yet as it has no wheels at the moment and it is standard.

are the jamex any good? Im about to buy some and have read up on them all. 300 is my max budget and they seem to fit that well. They also seem to be the best finish and having a stainless base they should last longer. theres the g maxx also but they seem to have reports of a hard ride. I have had a car with gmaxx on before and it was remembering it a very hard ride. There seems to be some cheaper non branded ones on ebay with various names but there all the same kit by the sounds of it. not sure wat there like. I know a few people on here have bought them but havent herd the reports yet. I seem to be swayed the jamex way. Is this a good idea or not?

Im busy building a new type 4 engine for my 56 bug, i will be using it on the strio when its done but its taking forever. its a 2.4 and will be supercharged, i may even put so,e gas in it to put a smile on my face. hopefully it will be ready next year.

when I got my black gti it took about 3 months to find the one I wanted and I ended up going to a dealership and getting an ex demo. it sold within the week though when I put it up for sale. I think with these and cirtain other cars they have there moments of drought then they flood the market, you will probly find in a few weeks everyone will call you.

I never have much luck on the Autotrader, Ive always sold throught the forums or Ebay to get it advertised. ive bought about 8 cars in the last year and never picked the autotrader up once. try the usual, Piston heads and vzi. I sold my last one on vzi

I have been looking for the 8X15's but nobody seems to stock them even though they list them as a possible size. If I'm going to do it, I might as well do it properly and go phat! Does anyone know where I can buy the 8X15's? I had a look at the cars with the 7X15@s on and there looks like there may be room left but not sure of the offset they had on. I was told to go for the 20et if going for the 7's and the 30 if going for the 8's Does that make sense??? Its funny really this has cought on and companys are making money out of it. I worked in austria for a while and we used to make powdered vodka and glacia ice which when dried out turns to crystals and the crystals can be ground and used in any way needed, including snorting which we did a few times once the bar had shut. Im sure the stuff on the market will be mixed with chemicals and not too pure but this stuff blew your head off. Its not illegal to make this stuff so if anyone wants to know they can mail me. lol

Thanks, I think I will try 185/45/15 nankangs on the 15x8s all round. (not too fussed on the tyres at the moment and wont be doing excess of 145mph so they should do) And bit pushed for cash. £30 EACH IVE SEEN THEM FOR Has anyone seen anything cheaper?

Probs just the weight of them, the 17 are bloody heavy. lol im sure the size makes a difference, something like bigger wheels slower acceleration but higher top end and smaller wheels quicker acceleration and lower top end. Im not sure just something I herd. It could be me just being stupid and not hearing right.

Good, I thought it was a toyota engine but wasnt 100%, anyway glad you put some facts behind it cos until you drive one you cant really comment can you? I would think a turbo in it would be just stupid and the average person on the road thease days wouldnt be able to drive it. Back to the original topic on the lupo side I did a run with the 17"wheels on and i think its quite quick not timing it. I took them off and put the 13" on and the difference is imence.... Ill have to get the times one day.
