  1. Might be in the For Sale section soon for spares Keep an eye out. lol
  2. Not sure. Struggled carting my 3 kids around in the Loop. So thinking about a Bora.
  3. Coming round a left hand bend coming out of Congleton last night and lost control on wet road. Ended up spinning 180 degrees and colliding with a 4x4
  4. Had a bit of a bump last night. Everyone is ok thankfully.

  7. Mine does the same thing. Will need the throttle body cleaning out and maybe the coolant temp sensor replacing. As for a manual, not sure if Haynes ever did one cos I can never find one!
  8. Bought some Auto Glym Tar Remover and that did the trick! Also today, got the car lowered 60mm/40mm F/R on lowering springs, looks so much better. And I started clay barring the car, what awesome stuff!! The bonnet after clay bar, but not polished yet.
  9. Got told about using petrol off a friend tonight funnily enough. Tried the hair drier, did ****** all style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Need to get it off quick, due to clay bar it on Thurs, to get polished on Fri or Sat. Not sure why I'm going to so much trouble, cos it's bound to look crap next to all the other Lupo's. It's going in to get lowered on Thurs morning, but desperately need some new rims, the original ones have been heavily kerbed. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  10. Think I'll try this method. Thought of using a hot power washer, but don't know what effect that might have on the paintwork after what one did to my old red Scirocco. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Thanks for all your suggestions Hope to meet some of you on Sunday.
  11. Similar to MartyP's post but when I took the rear drivers side strip off, I realised it was stuck on with what seems like Silicone and I can't for the life of me get the damn stuff off. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> Want to get it off ready for the VW Festival, anyone know a way of getting it off without damaging the paintwork?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" /> Many thanks Rob (will try and get a pic posted)
  12. Funny I should stumble across this thread as I'm thinking of having my Lupo's brake fluid changed. TBH, Lupo brakes are ****, so I recently changed my front brakes to Tar-ox drilled and grooved discs and Mintex Extreme pads. Initially I found them to be a lot better but I'm not experiencing the big 'bite' difference I thought there'd be and there's still a lot of fade. So next in line is either fluid change or braided hoses and fluid. Does anyone know where I can get a braided hose set for a 1.4S? Cheers, Rob.
  13. Can't camp now due to family commitments on the Saturday, but I'll be coming down early Sunday morning, so leave room for me on the stand style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  14. Can't do Wed now due to other commitments. But we could have a Lupo only run out on Thurs, same time, same place. Hope plenty can make it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  15. Address for the Cat and Fiddle - A537 Buxton Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 0AR From there, as said previously, around 45 mins blast out, then all meet in the Market Square car park in Buxton.
  16. Ok, bit more notice this time. Anyone up for a little drive 'n' meet on Wednesday evening? Same story as previously, i.e. meet at Cat & Fiddle pub around 730 followed by a drive out, usually 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour ending in Buxton for a nice healthy kebab. All welcome, the more the merrier! My number's on the previous post. Cheers, Rob
  17. Got a meet tonight. Bit further away, it's at The Wheatsheaf on the Rainford Bypasss in between St Helens and Wigan http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=...ord,%20WA11%207 Any one who's around that area, or fancies travelling over, it's meet at 7.30, then a drive out for about an hour, then back to the pub for drinks and tyre kicking style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> This is only a monthly meet, should be doing the Buxton run again next week. Sorry again for the short notice, I keep forgetting to post. Anyone who fancies coming along tonight or to the Buxton run can give me a buzz on 07962 426209 Cheers Rob.
  18. We have a run out every week, normally on a Thursday now as more people can make a Thursday. Keep an eye out on here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.a...81&i=999999 I'm 'big dub' on here. Probably won't be down next week, but hope to see some more Lupo's there soon. Rob.
  19. I know this is quite short notice, but does anyone fancy a run out tonight around Buxton? I'll be meeting fellow drivers from Pistonheads web site at 7.30pm at the Cat and Fiddle for a bit of a blast around. Anyone is welcome. Hope to see some other Lupo's there.
  20. Add me style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  21. As the title says, I've been having problems with the drivers side electric window and on Monday it was very difficult to get it to work at all, ended up having to open the door on the M6 toll to pay!. Is it a fairly common problem? And is it easy to fix? Cheers, Rob.
  22. Mine has the same problem with starting from cold and not idling, but is ok when warmed up a bit. Took it to a garage and they said I need a new Throttle Body and a coolant temp sensor. Not sure about the smell of petrol though. Hope that's helped a bit. Rob.
  23. Coventry is only an hour and a half from me, so that would be ok. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  24. Can't remember if it had a white roof or not. It looked like an S or Sport with black alloys with diamond cut rims, a dark haired lad was driving with his partner in the passenger seat.
