Hello, for sale is my wifes Volkswagen Lupo Sport 1.4 16v 100bhp in Reflex Silver. A real nippy little car that gets used daily for a short commute so mileage will rise steadily. Comes with all the usual sports refinements(Sport lights, optional Sport Spoiler, Centre-exit exhaust, 14" alloys). Has been an awesome little daily for my wife and only an upgrade to something more powerful forces sale. The car is extremely original, the only modifications being an upgraded Sony double-DIN stereo with bluetooth(original tape&CD changer come with the car), and a K&N panel filter in the airbox. The car is extremely clean and is kept polished and waxed, the underside and arches show no signs of any corrosion whatsoever. The interior is all rip and scratch free and clean The Good! -85k on the clock -MOT til July 2017 -Always run on super unleaded -Very recently had a new timing belt and water pump and fuel filter. -Comes with lots of service history and paperwork. -4 recent Hankook tyres with plenty of tread -Brembo discs, pads and brake fluid change took place last year, still loads of life and stop a treat. -Pedal box has been upgraded to the revised metal version -New airbag clock spring as of last MOT (expensive little thing to turn off airbag light). The not so good! -Chip on grill support (these are £40 new if you want to change it). -Rub strip lifting slightly on passenger side (again very minor, never bothered us enough to require changing). -Odd stonechip/age related marks you would expect on a 14yo car used daily. Just paid £275 for parts and labor at a local (very good) independant VAG specialist, on a 1.4 16v.

I'd clean that join out, use some kurust on any surface rust and use some waxoyl or dinitrol there to stop rust taking hold.

Hello, to answer the above, it lives outside. It has had the pedal box changed to the metal revised version before we bought the car. I will try to get it plugged in, I'm going to check for signs of damp on electrical connections. appreciate the help, I will update if I find anything or anything else happens.

Just to add, I've recently swapped out the fuel filter for a Mahle item from Opie Oils, I will clean the air filter (done last summer at service time), and check spark plugs (approx 18months old NGK items, had new OEM leads and coilpack at same time).

As above, my wife's 1.4 16v Sport occasionally will start but has no throttle response. Its doesn't flash any lights up on dash (not had chance to scan for codes), but if turned off, then on again it will be fine and continue to be soe whilst driving. It's just recently had a new cambelt, water pump and coolant temp sensor (used a Febi one). My thoughts were throttle position switch, maybe some kind of O2 sensor issue? Any ideas, or has anyone had this problem?
