  1. It's had no lock change. Why do you insist on defending the indefensible, "we've always done it this way so it must be right" is the wrong attitude, if it were right we'd still be driving around in Beetles and Ford Anglias. Things are supposed to improve over time not stagnate due to indifference
  2. The local dealer wanted both the V5 and a copy of my licence presumably to match identity for both items, but given that these could be either faxed or e-mailed using pdf I still can't fathom the timescale. I'd guess there are thousands of similar requests everyday so why in a digital age does it progress at the speed of a horse and trap. Yes and it needs coding when it arrives back in the UK, I'm well aware of that, but what a shambles.
  3. The VW group as a "people's car" are a joke, they serve the Piech family. As an organisation its hard not to see them as a self interested monopoly perhaps the EU should break the VAG up, they certainly don't act in the consumers nor the public interest as we have seen with the diesel emissions scandal
  4. buy a set of keys and in many instances you have exceeded the cars value
  5. interesting little homily that tells us more about you but not about how processes work or should work, keep it up
  6. the dealers could fax the orders have the keys airmailed by return and coded in branch 2/3 days max
  7. It is poor dealer service, can you imagine VW tolerating such delays from their "just in time" suppliers, and if you read the thread I point out that the key broke in half. Two weeks is not acceptable, its arrogance, contempt for the customer
  8. To ask if there are quicker options/alternative suppliers to the poor service from the main dealer and I suppose highlight the length of time involved for those who just have one key. I was shocked to be told 7-10 days and I think its a disgrace, the options suggested whilst possible are not for me as I don't want to break windows nor change the steering lock.
  9. Car is in a safe place, car park owner aware of the issue and not foaming at the mouth so just a matter of coping with the delay. Problem caused by the remote control key breaking in half and the metal bit that goes in the lock being lost, the button bit has a code on it and I have spare keys that could be re-coded but without the correct pattern for door and steering lock little point
  10. its horribly inefficiency from the Worlds biggest car company
  11. no spare key and the car is locked & parked up in Swansea, key ordered and quoted 7-10 days delivery which I think is more shocking than the price of the key

    lost key

We've managed to lose the only key to one of our two Arosa TDI's, the RAC have been as much use as a chocolate soldier and my main dealer 3 miles away says it will take up to two weeks to replace the key. Are there any other options for a faster replacement...desperate as they car is parked where it shouldn't be and risks being towed
  13. why make an enemy when you can make a friend
  14. whilst that's very funny it's not a very friendly answer; it's little more effort to say whilst we can deduct its likely a 1 litre model or possibly an SDI we really need more info, mileage, service history number of owners and more pictures to hazard a guestimate of value
  15. other manufacturers will take petrol cars too so if you fancy something different you can dump the expensive to run, maintain and repair GTI
  16. I still can't see where the improvement is between a Lupo and an Up! Nothing that couldn't have been achieved by continual development at a not inconsiderable saving in tooling
  17. discounts vary across the range depending on each model's cost but don't strike me as particularly generous if you were looking at an Up! at the bottom end of the market. Definitely not enough is on offer for me to consider scrapping one of my lovely TDi models http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/scrappage

    Arosa mk 2

Hi, I'm looking to replace an Arosa bonnet which looks shabby, cheaper I think to buy a 2nd hand one than have it repainted or wrapped, ideally in black, pm me please if you have one
  19. I didn't want to put KKK down as it would attract the wrong type so was looking at jumbling the letters around...but it was only a suggestion, a way of expanding but retaining the core
  20. Aren't these comments a little out of line for a "moderator" even a bit childish
  21. Kurtz und Klein Auto Klub inc Club Lupo for all small VAG cars, past present and future
  22. Would it be practical to "rename" the forum to attract more viewers and in a way that would interest, Up/CityGo/Mii but also be as inclusive as possible for existing owners, the Small VW Club perhaps, Klein und Kurtz VW Klub
