  1. Is there a kit that do coilovers for the rear. Although I've heard you can pop the top mounts on them with coilovers If not
  2. I bought a pair of GTi hubs and wondered if the coil over kit would need to be a GTi one. For the mounting points. I don't know the difference between standard and GTi coilovers
  3. Lower front seat cloth removal seems to be getting on my nerves. It won't pop off. It seems like a bra push together for it to release. But the problem is I cannot get the section out from the metal. It's the the rear part of the seat for reference point
  4. :/ maybe another time then when I'm braver
  5. My ball joints, yeah. I heard of flip kits for the ball joints and the tie/track rod ends on the MK1s to gain more downward travel and prevent some of the bumpsteer that's caused by lowering. Never really looked into it bit I head they need to be longer ball joints sometimes they're spacered(?). Not entirely sure but I was thinking this would help those with 15 inch wheels (Porsche fitment) or 16s for big brake setups.
  6. Easy to change normally and PM nfbr as I was sorted right out. (however I didn't get ARB bushes) they are firmer and durable. As said before, life time guarantee I also think there are three different ones depending on model lupo so make sure they are right
  7. The blue motion idea seems good, given it's a steadier increase
  8. Has anyone had any problems with the ball joints. My 1.7 was on 15"s and was fairly low for it (scraping table top speed bumps)aand the ball joints we like this /--------\
  9. I was looking to get the parts for my car to be serviced on GSF and it has thrown up a couple of problems. for the water pump and cam belt kit (going to get dayco full kit) it has given choices based on engine and chassis number but my chassis number doesn't match either 6X-2-015-000 OR 6X-2-015-001 I have a 2000 TDi number WVWZZZ6XZ1W016792 = 6X-1-016-92(?) On a side note nice to know it is Wolfsburg born given the Lupo was named after it
  10. I suppose it also gives added length for larger blind spot check when you lean forward (this is the new way to check blind spot instead of looking over shoulder (So my speed awareness course said))
  11. Will the heated wing mirror switch light up differently too?
  12. Silver, would it be possible to measure them up for us? just interested in getting more availability for better prices
  13. Not really worried about power, just light output
  14. Like the newer lupo dash use similar switches, connections and wiring eg. heated seats Would the mirrors run independently to the interior light (I am sure it would when wired in right) What sort of loss do you reckon there will be for light when all are on?
  15. Would the adhesion method for re-trimming the roof liner work the same. The whole glue, leave til tacky, bit by bit roll it over pressing into recesses and curves. 16. I want to do the carpet if it's not going to take too long to do. Not sure what's entailed yet haha, might do the headliner while I'm at it. Wouldn't it have been good if the lupo was a miniature Mk4. Arm rest and all
  17. Is it possible to replace the mirrors Also was wondering if ou can add vanity lights like in the corrado
  18. I was thinking of a couple of possibilities. - Thick soft carpet - Anti-stain carpet - Similar to OE (Diff colour) Hoping it'll look/feel nice and sound deaden as well as a side effect
  19. The lupo floor. Want a lush carpeted floor. Always done in show cars and some people do them in normally
  20. Want to carpet the lupo but was wondering if anyone has done it and what problems they've come across? Pictures and 'how to' would be welcomed What is the removal process? How many layers of what type of materials would I need? Tools and adhesives if needed? Best biscuit for tea break? Essentially a dummies guide haha
  21. what sort of rev range would you have to be in from fourth to go into fifth do you reckon?
  22. I want to get a tdi and put a six speed box in it but I don't know much about gearboxes. Is there one or a non OEM brand that fit the bill?
  23. Cheers guys, gonna ring around and see whats going to be the best option
  24. Just rung up VW in newton abbot and they've quoted me £302.04 for a power steering pump for my 1.7 SDi Just a word of warning to people that may have my problem
