  3. I do actually like the mobile version a lot, it doesn't load as much information however and the search functions allow multiple forum selection in the drop down menu. I like how tapatalk has update notifications on new threads and things. I'd rather have Tapatalk/CL update me of new things people are doing and what people need help on rather than spend my time on facebook etc. I'm an android fan personally Dblock

  5. I have just finished reading all of this.... the work you put in amazes me. I love the dedication and the make do and mend spirit mixed with knowledge and technique that came with all the problems you faced. I own a tdi and have little to no time, money, space or tools but I feel I try and do my best and things like this just make me want to learn more and progress further into the wonderful world of diy mechanics. Thanks for the great read I did see the end once I saw all those wires. Hope your girlfriend enjoys this one as much as the last
  6. Does it fit on not gti? Is it any longer than usual? Are all the mounting points the same?
  7. Have you had a look at the land rover snap sac bungs?
  8. At the seam of the head to the bottom of the engine there is a significant seeping of fluid. (Think it is oil but not sure if just darkened coolant) The engine over heats. And I am servicing the camel soon and waterpump checking ther most at and the fan for low speeds. And hoping it may help But I'm pretty sure enough damage is done. With doing a compression test, would it just tell me that there is a problem of would it show towards one way or another? If the head needs skimming will this affect the injectors as they are built in. Hoping for rich (edit from rick. Stupid auto correct), d block, tdi owners or anyone who can help to chime in.

  13. I've read a person saying they got 170bhp out of the a2. He was worried about the con rods though
  14. Do the 130/150 injectors provide more injection. I'm not sure about any wiring but I'm sure they fit IIRC they are in the A2's 1.4TDi If you were to do it, you would have to remap it to get it to fuel right. otherwise you would have a lot of smoke. A2 is 90hp as it does also have a vnt turbo where ours is wastegated. Theirs is kkk where ours is garret too, so it isn't a straight swap. four branch from one of the lager vnt PDs, cut one branch, weld shut and fit it (not sure if actually fits) and change the N75 and in vagcom to enable the audi 90hp's file to use the vnt.

  16. My TDi is making a vibration noise that can be felt at idle and is even more noticeable when pulling away. At first I thought it was an engine mount but it seems to be more of a running problem. I think it may be an injection problem, maybe gunked up if not a balancing issue. I have a new gear, chain and tensioner kit for the balance shaft to go on

I've got a GTI beam ready to be put on but I want to get new bearings but all I keep finding is the bearing + hub assembly I was going to go to simply bearing (or something of the kind) and find the equivalent but i was wondering if anyone on her could help me with source two bearings only. If not, anyone that has sized them up to get new ones Thanks Keelan

  21. I thought a 3-branch manifold was an odd idea. I thought about it when looking into how the cross overs put in bike exhausts and 4-branch manifolds work. User it's all to do with the suction of one drawing the gasses of the next combustion out better than the normal one. I never thought of a separate exhaust for the turbo would help but I'll look into that. As for a bigger/better turbo I'll have to put in more research, make one calls and see what it would be that I'm after. An intercooler upgrade and oil rad are on the list also would de-cat give a noticeable difference. Do PDs need the back pressure? With the panel filter, is there any way of effectively directing more air into it? Would you have to upgrade the two fuel pumps? Has anyone put a common rail diesel in a lupo yet? I presume yes. So it would be best to: - Upgrade turbo intercooler injectors Panel filter Fuel pump Then diesel purge and remap.
