Welcome to the build thread for my Lupo S 1.4 16v. To start with I picked the car up from Maidstone and drove it back to Colchester...Kinda... The alternator died on the way home and I lost power in the outside lane of the M25 I eventually got it home, and now it's been repaired I can start work on it! It's been a fustrating week planning the car out and not having it here to do anything to it. So first thing, the radio it came with is awful and the door speakers are blown... Down to Halfrauds and I did a buy! Fitted the Head Unit with no issues, just waiting on speaker adapters and some other bits in the post till my next update.

Are they not fifteen52 tarmacs? I can't remember if you can get them in small sizes

Sounds good to me, trying to budget by build around my next few months pay and get a rough estimate of how long it'll all take to do and save for.

I was unsure as g60 steels are 6" and I wanted to just have a nice 7" all round or 7 fronts and 8 rear. I was just wanting clarification/people's opinions, plus I swear its annoying to get tires for 6" wheel and allow a slight stretch

Hello, just a quick question that has been rattling my mind. I'm considering the OEM look for my Lupo. I was wondering are banded steels considered to be part of the OEM look? I was thinking yes as long as the original steels were VW ones. Just wanted clarification really, thanks.

Aha I know JDM isn't, I just have my love for real old JDM cars, no a Japanese car with a 'illest' sticker. Saying that I have seen a j-euro(ish) 6n that looks nice.

Hello, I'm Sam, I'm 17 and from Colchester. I'm currently looking for my first car and I'm in a bit of a choice between a Lupo and a Polo. I'm not entirely new to VW's but I am to Lupo's as until I saw some really nice ones close up two weeks ago, which made me really look into them for my first car. I like euro and rat (as well as drift and jdm, but that's probably not looked fond of around here). I'm probably mainly here for advice and to look at other people's rides for ideas, and hopefully when I get my own build going I'll show you guys it. Anyways, that's me out.
