  1. I haven't used anything on them to be honest, one this one or my old Lupo I've never noticed any traces.
  2. So Sophie made this nearly colour matched keychain to go with (this was just a sample piece, but will make another better version soon). Next it was time for a big clean....a very big clean! And then it was time to clay Might have gone overboard with tape...Or not enough? Lets see if we can bring some gloss back to this LD1B! Poor photo as I don't have a good light, but before on the right, after on the left (excuse the dust) All in all, I think I finished the clean around 9:30pm. I used Meguiars 105 & 205, then gave it a coat of Auto Finesse Graphene Liquid Wax by hand (was already nearly 9pm at this point, didn't want to annoy the neighbors anymore). So here are some photos the following morning. I think next it'll be rub strips off to get behind them fully and one needs to be restuck properly.
  3. Thanks, I thought I remembered there being only one bulb from having my old one and painting it red for those different style knobs you can get
  4. Also, a strange one that happened. We suddenly noticed one evening that the Heater control panel didn't light up, the resirculation button does but not the three dials. I guess this will be one to solve another day
  5. So a small update on a quick lunch time win the other day. One of the front wheels had this strange black mark on it, not too sure how it got there. I can only imagine that it was hit by a tyre? Anyway a few coats of sticky stuff remover and some clay barring later and it was off! While I was waiting for the products to set, I decided to give the boot shuts a good scrub out as they were bothering me
  6. Yeah because of the way these had deteriorated I believe they've been sprayed with Clearcoat before. So this time I had used a 3M UV sealant over the top once they had been polished up.
  7. Had some time the other evening so the clean up continues. The cloudy headlights, a quick mask, sand, polish and seal. Few bits of yellow here...
  8. So one the bank holiday weekend after returning home, we decided to make a start with cleaning things up. The interior is quite dirty with a few heavily stained spots. The first call really was the take the interior oujt so we could steam and clean it all to get rid of as much dirt as possible. Interior out. We made a start the next morning, and after a solid days work I think we got somewhere! Still a few small visible marks on the seats, probably a few more cleans and they'll eventually fade away. Even had the doorcards off to clean behind them. (Clayton if you're reading this I cleaned the shuts when we washed it). The last thing to be sorted out on day 1 was this light fold in the passengers door, it's not perfect but much better than it being folded in. A few small parts, maintenance items and touch up paint are on order now.
  9. To a degree I believe it'll stay standard, at the most OEM+ upgrades. There is already a pile of parts building up at a friends that includes some more BBS Bugatti's and 3L pieces. But hey we'll see. It's just great to see her being so enthused by it.
  10. Thanks, good to be back on here after lurking around again the past month as this was coming up. WTF? WTF
  11. So it's been a while since I've posted on ClubLupo. I think it was around 5 years ago now when I parted out my reflex silver 1.4 75hp, that was on air ride, with a 3L front, BBS Bugatti's and Work Meisters. It sure was a fun time and a great car that made me meet so many awesome people of which some I still speak to today. Here's a couple of how that Lupo was before I partied it out and sold it. Now the reason we're here. My fiance had always missed that Lupo, she did buy a 1985 Mazda 323 a few years ago, but due to Covid and life etc she didn't get round to getting her license and when we moved house the 323 sat there for 18 months as we didn't know what to do with it, it required too much welding to be worth it to us, afterall we pulled it out of a field for £500, drove it 20k miles and then parked it. So on our end, we had got our enjoyment out of it and had sold it on to someone who had 4 of them who is now getting it back on the road, good deed done there. She had been looking for quite sometime, originally she wanted a Cambridge as she fell in love with the colour, and having been to university in Cambridge she felt the need to have one. With the only one coming up on autotrader in that time being in Birmingham, she started to look for other unique and fun lookign combinations. And one day, she stumbled upon this 1.0 Yellow Open Air. A bit rough around the edges, but a large amount of history, been looked after by one family from new. And a numberplate that says WTF. Well, we almost couldn't pass it up, especially for what it was listed for. So we figured it would make a perfect first car & first real project for her. A small amount of body damage, but mostly carpark marks etc from over the years, nothing that can't be fixed. Tim, if you're reading this because you did say you looked at the Lupo forums occasionally. Thank you for looking after this Lupo for many years, I do hope you approve of what you see. From picking this Lupo up, half a lap around the M25 home, we started talking about the plans for it and where Sophien wanted to take it. With some notes scribbled down, a few links saved we started to have a direction. Now, Sophie has said she doesn't want to go in to deeply yet while she is still learning to drive properly. So for the most part the beginning will just be cleaning things up, repairs and a few cosmetic things.
  12. Years later I'm back on Clublupo and I see these pictures again.
  13. Seems to be coming along well mate!
  14. Thank you! I will remember to update this more often!
  15. Yeah I get what you mean now. Not a massive deal breaker for me. There's a lot of changing coming up soon. It's booked in for paint soon and I've just purchased a sport rear beam with polybushes and mTech drilled and groved brakes all round.
