Yeah, some crazy caddy guy from cornwall came up to plush to cut and chop subframes on a well known red caddy. Low is an understatement. Literally could not get it lower thats the sh*t i need to be looking into when funds allow. Apparently loops are one of the harder models to get touching tarmac but we shall see

Because my front bumper is lol! still got some bump stop to cut out the back and need to cut the crappy little lip spoiler off the bumper to get the front down more. Harder to get on the deck than the air alone, more work will be needed to make it lay back box/tank at the rear. When ive payed for my new calipers il look at what work needs to be done for more lows. ARB mounts are trashed after 4 weeks lol! Im happy for the time being though

Obviously if your going to see a LOT of track use then by all means id say coils are definately your best bet. Stiffer, less to go wrong, lighter etc. But for everyday road use air is definately the better option if you can afford it. Comfort is spot on too!
  4. Piers if you want to have a proper look at ryans car i park next to it most tuesday nights

Well after over a month of driving on air all i have to say is wow! Less body roll can hit corners faster due to not having to worry about driveshaft catching. Can now have passengers in the back and not destroy arches/ tyres. Glad i saved that bit longer and went for a quality kit. Amazed by the handling and practicality. Plus seing it dumped =
  6. Yeah that was probs me, can tell by the missing towing eye cover did it have the bbs or the schmidts on?
  7. Raven blue on the a38 was me mate. You've not had yours long have you?

    JBS Remap

Live a few miles away from Jbs and like liam said, they're the best in the business. Build some mentally specced up turbo r32's and the quality of the installs look factory. Won numerous VAG tuning awards so i think they're fully capable of mapping a lupo properly
  9. Yeah I'm impressed with how much it tucks at the front. Just need the same at the back. Quick update. Just got a text off the parents. The first items from jenvey have arrived roll on bay prep and engine detailing during the winter months!!!!
  10. No mate, just had my arches rolled and liners trimmed accordingly a few years ago when i first got the car. Surprising how low it can go without any arch mods
  11. What we thinking then guys? 8s allround? Or go up to 8s on the front and keep the 8.5s out back with more camber and stretch?
  12. Going to either get my shims fitted and try and tuck the back more or fit some 2" dishes on the rear. Lukes allready made sure that the kits won't restrict lows like some other set-ups out there. I used to be a hater, but I now realise you just can't run a car static this low day to day without damaging stuff and being able to carry passengers. I love it !
  13. Handles awesome! Holds the road just like coilovers, no body roll but it's almost as smooth as standard susp. Notch helps a lot making it a better ride.
  14. Yes it will. im just running stupid wide wheels on the rear. When the 8's go on the back it will go down far lower.
  15. Just picked my lupo up after its few weeks away in the hands of Luke Massy at Plush. To say him and mark have done a good job would be a massive understatement! When i first went to speak to Luke i didnt really know a lot about the kits out there that were available and didnt really know what kit i would want/need. Plush are the uk dealers for Airlift kits. He explained the difference between the various set-ups and let me make my mind up before going ahead with fitting. Decided to go with the easystreet management over switches due to ease of use and setting up the ride height.I would reccomend Plush to anybody. Thanks guys! All comments good or bad welcome If anybody is wanting any info on the kits do not hesitate to contact Luke and he'll be happy to help. http://www.plush-automotive.co.uk/

The price of £2700 is for the kit only. So nayr/ryan was about right with the 4k figure. My car is currently at plush with luke fitting me 4 way airlift on easystreet digital management. Think its the first time this set up has been fitted to the gti. Mega clean install, cant wait to get it back
  17. I met this guy in Mansfield last night. Noticed a silver GTI flash me as i was in mine. Pulled over and had a chat. Guys name is Piers. Hes from belper
  18. Im taking my loop off the road this summer to carry out engine work. ported and polished head, BMC with a good cold air feed and a full AAS exhaust including sports cat and manifold. My cousin is a master tech at VW so im assuming he can get hold of this tool for adjusting the camshafts. Just wondering wich cam would suit the GTI engine the most? Then of course it would need a remap.
  19. As title suggests really. any help appreciated guys
  20. As title states really..was just interested in suspension set up/camber and wheels sizes mainly.
