  1. Well I didn't really look into the horror stories when it came to having my car mapped by JBS. It was mapped & cost me around £300. I got 123bhp @ the fly & 97bhp @ the wheels with 108lb. My car has been lightened as well, plus the flywheel was lightened. All I can say is that my car is quick & extremely responsive. For the cost of mapping these type of engines, it seems there's not many companies capable or willing to under take it. So if you do find someone you'll have a rare GTI, it's had engine work & remapped. Kind of like my Arosa Sport but unfortunately my Sport is up for sale.
  2. Stealth Racing quoted me about £500 for mapping my Arosa Sport, it's had a bit more work done than your Gti. I went to JBS and it cost me around the £300 mark. They had a right nightmare mapping it, it took all day because of the type of chip used in them. After it was done they said the amount of work and time it took to do normally that amount of mapping time would have set me back £1000. So if you find someone willing to map it make sure you get them to agree on a price first.
  3. When it comes to cars, I've never been one to follow the crowd like most of the drones on here, they get scared or worried if they fit anything else than BBS. I've always liked the ignis sport, I looked at buying one of them because you can fit a nice supercharger kit to them unlike most of the hatchet jobs that are done out there.
  4. I does go some, once your up to 3,000rpm which is not hard because the rev's pick up very quick (lightened flywheel). It just flys & combined with the handling it's awesome, I only fitted bucket seats because once you really start to throw it into corners your pretty much falling out the seat plus the bucket seats are a hell of a lot lighter than the standard seats. The standard ones if I remember correctly are either 25kgs or 30kgs, I did weigh them at the time. I think once I weighed the standard front seats and the backs plus the spare wheel & jack, plus other little odds & sods I saved about 90kgs. On quite a surprising side that even on the motorway it doesn't struggle, cruising @ 60-70mph put your foot down and it pulls well easley upto 90+. One thing I will miss is the fact that you can embarrass a lot bigger cars with ease, you can out brake them out handle (stupidly easy) & out pull them as long as you keep in the power band. Like some joker in 325 coupe found out when he decided to ride my ass one day until he pulled along side at the traffic lights & got wasted when they went to green. All that fun for group4 insurance. If I was keeping her I would have bought a 1.6Gti block (lighten flywheel again) and used my head because it's go Schrick cams in & maybe fit throttle bodies because I love the sound they make. Once again another money pit evolves, but I want something completely different hence the reason for selling her.
  5. I've re-done my advert of my car for sale. It's under Arosa Sport 123bhp, I've added new photos and better information. Plus I've adjusted the price.
  6. How much you wanting to spend, have u checked out my Arosa Sport for sale.
  7. Ok second time around for my advert since the first one was not posted by my self. Make: Seat Model: Arosa, Sport MOT: expires October 30th 2012 TAX: January 30th 2012 Engine size: 1.4 16v, 1390cc Fuel type: Petrol Description including modifications: listed below. Location: Birmingham, 10minutes from Birmingham airport. Images: Price: £2700ono Up for sale is my SEAT Arosa 1.4 sport, it's a 2002 on a 52 plate. I've owned the car for six years & it's only covered 57,000miles, so it's covered about 6,000miles a year (it's not my main car I use daily hence the low mileage). With all the servicing done by my self each. The engine, It's had the flywheel lightened and balanced. (AUB) Schrick cams 256, (both inlet & outlet). Cambelt & water pump done @ 50,000miles. Luk clutch fitted @ 50,000miles. Magnecor HT leads. Fully stripped & cleaned head, reseated valves,Gasflowed head. Ashley 4-1 manifold, with full Ashley exhaust system, De-cat BMC air filter, with custom ram-air style cold air feed, Oil catch tank Custom-Code stage 2 remap Rolling roaded with print outs, 123.2Bhp @ the flywheel 97.9Bhp @ the wheels with 108lbft. (pedal box has been done) The Body, PI coilovers, lowered about 80mm all round. (Exterior ). White line ARB on the rear. EBC turbo, grooved & drilled disks all round with green stuff pads. Dezent Motion wheels in black 15x6.5 with 195/45/15. (Interior). Corbeau Clubman bucket seats (8 months old, no rips or marks) Corbeau direct fit subframes with sliders Luke 3 point harnesses Richbrook Hand-break, Gear knob & surround. Richbrook leather gators in yellow OMP steering wheel Pioneer head unit with iPod Alpine front door speakers Inphase 10" 1200w sub with amp. Extra info, I have the original SEAT Arosa 14" alloys with tires as well, (pictured) A set of ACE 201,15" 5-spoke alloys with 195/45/15 tires on. (pictured) The original interior in blue, again no rips or marks (non-smoker) The original sport suspension, manifold, CAT (for MOT's) I have a spare pair of brand new Corbeau direct fit subframes as well (pictured) All the items above I've listed are with the car if the buyer wants them, I could sell them my self but thought it would be easier to let them go with the car so the buyer could re-coop some of there money buy selling them his/her self. There are few marks on the outside, usual car park dinks. The left rear bumper has a crack in the paint but not to the bumper (I've posted some pictures of these things, there nothing major & remember the car is nearly 10years old). As for the inside, there airbag light is on since I fitted the OMP steering wheel (haven't got around to sorting it out by having a resistor fitted), The Engine light is on from time to time again since having changed to the Ashley manifold & full system but never been a problem with MOT's. I'm happy for people to come & look and test drive but I ask three things, must have a full UK driving licence, Insurance & of course the money. Without all three I'm still happy for people to go for a drive but I'll be doing the driving. Photo with the other alloys on ACE 201, Print outs of the power it's running at.. Pictures of standard Arosa alloys, standard interior, Corbeau subframes, ACE 201 alloys. The small marks that I mentioned in my discripsion
  8. I've just noticed the price on here isn't right, the miss's posted it for me & by the looks put the price done wrong. I've got to take some more photos of the inside, engine bay & the exterior with the Dezent Motion alloys in black

Richbrook leather gators in yellow OMP steering wheel
  10. This a copy of what I've put down in the for sale section, those aren't the wheels that are on the car now. Weather has been to rubbish to take some new more up to date photos with the black wheels that are on. What I've stated in my sale is that those 5-spokes & the orignial Sport 14" alloys will come with the car. So that's 3 sets of wheels all with good tires on them. The engine, It's had the flywheel lightened and balanced. (AUB) Schrick cams 256, (both inlet & outlet). Cambelt & water pump done @ 50,000miles. Luk clutch fitted @ 50,000miles. Magnecor HT leads.
