Thanks for all the comments nearly paint time for tailgate and bumper. There going to be ready for weekend, plan is to fit on saturday. Car is goong away weekend the 9th to get the rest of it painted.

Made good progress this week. Got all the fluids and filters changed, air pipes refitted and after nearly a year on stands, it's back on its feet. Got the bonnet flattened and polished since it's the only bit not getting painted. Some progress on tailgate too, last skim of catty befor high build and paint.

Lol my new job means I'm doing a lot more miles, my mk5 was on h&r ultra lows and 19" ch,s but it was getting destroyed with the roads I'm driving so 4x4 status for a while

Tailgate done and away to body shop. Thought I would post a picture of my new daily and my other toy my k8 gsxr 600 my tig r line, sold my mk5 and bought this as it was a bit more sensible

Got a bit done to the tailgate tonight. My mig packed in half way throughout the job so got a new one coming tomorrow

Got the donor tailgate cut out and trial fitted the new front bumper and lights. Almost time for paint

Well parts are stocking up so had a day off today an decided to get the rear end finished off. All the stubs, callipers and carriers recond and fitted, new rear brake lines and air hoses all plumbed in. Front end next.

Thanks guys. Got the bushes in and the axle bolted back up. Replaced all the bots with stainless ones, looks alot neater. Still to re-fit the painted stubs and the airpipes etc. then onto the front end

Wee bit of progress today. The new powerflex bushes, rear brake pipes, and stubs arrived. Got the parts back from the powdercoaters so got the tank cleaned and straps back on first Another copule of coats of dodo then the axle will be re assembled hopefully tommorow

Thanks. Another hour tonight saw the axle off the car and stripped ready to go away to powdercoaters

Has anyone fitted these to a gti? Ive emailed them and they say they should fit but not sure.
