  1. those are not the same seats. different design they look like an inferior copy, hence the cheap price. not available in black /grey? the material on the sparco seat is textured and good quality. and has dual sided reclining adjusters, which are not visable on those seats. the wear patches look a bit different also. that is very cheap prices for seats, but i expect quality will be down quite a lot compared to the sparco. i do think a better retail price for the sparco should be more like £200-£250 though per seat.
  2. 1.8 mazda mx5. cant go wrong, unless you need carrying space.
  3. all of us have brains, but just different views. we are not all robots.. yet.
  4. £400 for one seat. show me the seat your talking about, i would be suprised if sparco make a markup from £75 to £400. i have the seat in my garage now its very nice, just waiting on the sparco lupo seat frame.
  5. i do think the consumption is too much. very thin oil can get used up quikcer. also i think the 600 mile thing from vw could be from say 40 laps of the nurburgring on one day of very hard use.
  6. they must say it for a reason. it could be that no one engine is the same when it comes to oil consumption.
  7. i'm all for high powered cars. but i do think our cars should be speed limited by the ecu at 112mph just like jap cars are by law.

hello, good luck in finding one, try auto trader. if you are succesful you will be doubling the numbers of cornish members. i am the other one.
  9. thanks for the tip. i have some proper bo air ducting i can make use of now then. i will run feed from that opening you have highlighted in bumper. personally i dont think drilled holes in airbox is a good idea though. i have a nicely sealed box with performance panel filter. you should make best use of that nice new feed you have. i will see if there is room for heat shielding for the ducting to as the engine bay does get hot air a plenty.
  10. thats weird i looked at my gti lower bumper meshed intake and couldnt see a gap down there for any ducting. will have to have a better look. you didnt remove any parts did you? any tips for removing the the stock ducting so i can see whats what. does wing have to come off?
  11. you had to have a voluntary excess? yeah it is a bit steep with the 175 factored in. admiral seems ok to me.

    lol. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  13. but with these mods gtigee "manifold, de-cat system, bmc mega core leads and plugs and i got 142mph on the road angel" i doubt you were bouncing off the limiter in top gear. as you would have already said. or you were caning it down a super hill lol.
  14. ok 142mph is 7000rpm bouncing off the limter, this is confirmed by rpm/gear ratio/tyre diameter. but i dont believe this can been done on a perfectly level road. if anyone will be trying it again can they try and do it in both directions on the same stretch of road. if its right i'm pretty impressesd at the aero.
  15. yes thats what i wrote. note 7.45 edit and not after your post to the doubters lol. they are the wrong way. which i realized as i uploaded the picture. some cooling for the brakes could be an effective way to save getting oversized brakes. but it would take some good modifying diy skills, which i dont have.
  16. i think you would have to relist it as scrap metal lol.
  17. yes look at this pic of how the back box should look normally. ignore the lovely jap stainless system. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> yours. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  18. do you have pictures of this coilover kit, you sure its not a coil spring kit? are there big threads on the outside of the front shock absorbers?
  19. i heard some terrible basy music then turned it off. but the 1st few seconds sounded nice powerful machine.

that must have been from the side or the front then. the "black, the black.. its in my eyes...", said someone who was behind a diesel. a good performance yes, but not cool is what i think.
  21. you can see how it should be with no bend in direction as it goes towards the front of the car. where as the 1st one bends off to the right.
  22. it doesnt look the same as a gti fitment for a normal back box. 1st pic. that looks better quality.
  23. having said that i can hear the quiet rattle again, so it wasnt a problem with the tensioners. i think its an exhaust or heat shield rattle, sounds like that. i ahve heard of alternaotr/starter motor problems, but i dont think they make a noise after engine is running.
