  1. ... but I finally killed it. Earlier Friday night. Coming home from the meet down the A689 heading towards Greatham out of Hartlepool, at a rather pathetic 60-70mph (I expected to kill this at warp factor 10) a combination of a lost of dust on the road, and a lot of cars, meant I hit what appeared to be a breeze block in the road. Big bang and car slouched onto it's side. Managed to slow it down and pull it into a layby... burst tyre I think. Okay not too bad. Now check out the camber on the front wheel... Fire brigade turn up to clear up the diesel, same block ripped the fuel cooler off my mates mk4 So I get the car home and have another look, the sill has been folded under the car, ripped the wing apart at the bottom and ruined the floorpan. It gets better though... I take it to get 2 tyres and tracking the next day, that camber proves to be a nice 4.5 degrees. No obvious bent suspension bar the strut... managed to get it to about 2 degrees so it can drive okayish. Then we notice the ABS sensor and wiring has been ripped out. So the total damage you ask, well, it needs a new sill, new wing, ABS sensor and wiring, new strut, new wheel and I needed a new tyre obviously. I do think structurally it's damaged, under hard acceleration and braking it pulls to the right. Obviously, it'll cost much more to fix than it's worth. I'm still going to bring it to Dub Mania, I have no choice, but a bit gutted a ****ing breeze block seemed to kill my car. Moral of the story, don't hit stuff in low cars. Luckily I managed to avoid hitting it square on, or it would be bye bye VR6 engine.

    Mexico.

It's only expensive for us cos we are going in school hols (mate is a teacher), if we went now it was about £600pp all inclusive in a 5* hotel for ten days. We wanted to go Ayia Napa but Cancun worked out cheaper somehow!
  5. that was just my burnouts, gotta put a bit of a show on ey. on that day i actually made a guy with an Astra VXR refuse to speak to me for about 3 hours after I beat him. Sat side by side with a 296bhp Mk5 Golf GTi till I completely cocked up 2nd > 3rd. people hate being beat by an unassuming golf, they may have a quicker car but no one beats me off the line

    Mexico.

I've decided to piss off to Cancun in Mexico for a week or so just before edition 38, anyone been before and recommend owt to do? Yes, I know I'm going slap bang in hurricane season. It also doesn't seem as hot as I hoped, avg about 35 degrees?
  8. Yea basically. Air filter is right behind my headlight and that day was quite hot, just helps with heatsoak and stuff. Really I need a better cold air intake but hey ho
  9. paid my monies. see you guys and girlies there..
  10. my only car now, but it's a non lupo so it fits in nicely. check out me corsa chav driving pose. i like the fact it has molten rubber stuck to the side of the car.
  11. I find the best thing to do in those situations is just power on, let the car sort it out Unless you pulled out pretty savagely, i'd agree, car must be poorly fella
  12. I'd tickle his bum with my slag hammer x
  13. I had my Golf fishtailing tonight. Did some late breaking from around 120 leptons and the rear brakes (which have no abs) locked up. It pretty violently fishtailed and I thought I was about to get up close and personal with a roundabout. Imagine applying your handbrake at that speed, same feeling. Luckily someone was looking down on me tonight and saved my arse! I can only put fishtailing at your speed down to serious driver or car error?
  14. i will sort you out with cash soon Jamie promise x

  16. so you've never overtook someone doing a ton on the motorway? honestly? sorry but i think everyone of us on here with a car capable of doing 100 has done that, at some point, on the motorway or whatever.
  17. Moi on the left. Rapey Dave on the right. Moi Auto.
  18. they rebuilt the engine which a certain respected VW tuner completely ****ed up. they also did the welding for the smooth bay, well they pretty much rebuilt the whole front end of the car. they also did Jonny Cocker's Mk5 Golf and Audi S3 which I'm sure you'll know, and bits on his TT-RS.
  19. that is fantastic! what is it like compared to the vr6 turbo? i don't know what the spec was on the vr6 though.
  20. Fair enough. I knock about with a lad who had some 197 F1 thing and he sold it within a month, he hated it, and he is a full on Renault bummer.
  21. as much as i love my 6 pots and 8 pots, i miss boost!
  22. This is a very good friend's car but he has asked me to put it on a couple of sites for him. Genuinely very nice car, and very very quick for a Clio 172, probably the quickest I have seen. He's a mechanic at a prestige car garage so as you can imagine, it has never wanted anything, and is always kept in A1 condition. Please take a look at the full ad on Pistonheads - http://www.pistonhea...les/2762854.htm 2000 X registered clio 172 sport, vehicle has covered 66,000miles and will rise as vehicle is in use still, it also has 12months test and 6 months tax, the car has recently had the timing belt and aux belt changed at around 62,000miles, receipts to prove. vehicle has had a few modifications made, and cosmetic touches these include the following, 4x recent yokohama tyres (180) Full wheel refurb x4 at (£188) V6 airbox from renault (£60) itg filter(£30) ph2 rear lights clusters(£25) Ktec stealth exhaust(£220)to replace chavvy loud powerflow as in pictures Ktec coilovers (£270) new rear discs and pads inc bearings(£100) there will be a few things ive have missed off but the car has had a lot of money spend on it as you can see from the above, but please also bear in mind the car is also maintained regardless of cost and has a oil and filter change every 4-5k miles, bad points, minor discolouring/wear on drivers bolster, stonechips to front end, few small imperfections around the car but it is over ten years old, £2200 Thank you!
  23. god, please, no. my mate is selling a minter of a Ph1 Clio 172, goes like stink, 2.2k, it destroys those R27's in every aspect. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2762854.htm Adam, i meant diesels.
