  1. Jesus I haven't done much in a while but here's a few updates. I bought another lupo a fantasia green one running 170 Bhp and sold it for parts this is hat became of it.. I did start cutting it in half to make into a trailer but I've got too much on my hands at the moment and not got the space really. So the other few bits I've done it finally sorted out the 4x4ness of it.. Lupo got low. But with low you need some wheels right.. So snapped these up.. Test fitting.. I'm really happy with how they fit with the adaptors and gonna get some nice stretchy 165/45/15s on them. But this is how they should all look once I've had my way with them.. Shines, got a few more bits up my sleeve but will keep you updated. Cheers
  2. you got any adjusters or the faulkner plates in this mate? and whats the Inner diameter?
  3. Cheers bud, well I think 170bhp in a lupo is more than enough to be fair. Also I don't think the polo gti box would cope with a lot of hammering.
  4. Evening guys, thought is start a build thread as think I'm gonna end up rebuilding this engine for my car. Bought a fantasia green lupo with a turbo polo gti engine in it, but the bottom end had gone, I was suspecting big end bearings as it had a full crank up rebuild, but ill investigate it more when I get chance. The engines only done around 40k so is a low mileage engine, I'm going to rebuild the bottom end, maybe source some g60 rods to cope with the extra power but I'm only planning on running low boost so it may be ok on standards, but we will see. It's running a ko3 turbo, I need to order a custom turbo oil return pipe as this one is just two pipes with a bit of rubber hose in the middle connecting them. Here's a few pics of the engine bay. It had been rolling roaded at 170bhp at the wheels when it was running, so gonna aim for this figure again. Cheers guys
  5. Good to see you doing it yourself dude when I was 19 I rebuilt a 2 litre turbo rover engine and learnt a lot, it's the best way I think, I'm going to be building up a 1.6 gti with a ko3 turbo to go in my loop soon, so will be nice to see power comparisons.
  6. Yer dude, didn't get much look I was sat in a yellow council van parked up in front of my white lupo.
  7. well i bought this the other day. its a fanatasia green lupo with a 1.6 gti turbo engine in it. wqs dynoed at 170bhp. its got a rattle at the bottom end. thinking this is big end bearings and needs management. but if its going to cost too much ill be breaking as im saving for a house. anyway a few pics... will get some better pics when the snow decides to leave haha. it has a fully smooth boot with boot popper and quite a few extra goodies. if anyones interested in owt let us know and ill weigh up wether to fix it or break it. cheers guys

  11. I'm currently driving my mk2 polo saloon but that's going Tommorow and will have the white lupo as of Monday, it'll be on purple teledials soon too, but I'm sure it's probably the only white lupo around groby
  12. Yes I've saw all the other cars, Budgens end?
  13. **** the bed I used to live at 25 how did I not see this haha, wait a minute, have you got a few Vws on your drive?
  14. Yer dude i love it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it. Shame my mates having it off me tommorow but he will complete it. Ooo sorry dude i put 4x4 cause of the height of it. Would have to be like a import glanza running gear etc in the lupo. that would be sweet But a 4x4 lupo would be nuts...
  15. How the hell havent i saw this then lol. i use to live in groby on ash court. ive got a mk2 polo saloon at the mo
  16. Haha well i was bored. Heres a couple more pics ive dug out..
  17. Thought I'd throw up a few pictures of my old cars here goes. At the ripe age of 17 I bought this.... 2 years later it looked like this. All the work done by myself (minus the respray)and all self taught. And then I was halfway through building a 200bhp 2 litre turbo to go in it and I got bored/had a child on the way so it ended up like this.... Proper slammed. Made a good 2k from breaking it tho so happy days. Next came the Civic Coupe.. This stayed like this until I got bored again and sold it.. And moved onto this.. A 05 plate Mg Zr A few weeks later it looked like this for fast show.... Then I got bored again and bought this classic haha.. A 1987 vw polo saloon.. This is in the process of being sorted so will update when I can... And then came the vw lupo 4 x 4 my current project... Hope you enjoyed Joe

  21. Well had a bit of a weird one, Changed the oil pump and had a check on pressure again still no pressure up top end "****". Whipped off the head to have a look at the oil ways thinking it may be coked up, but no it has a paper type thing in there look a little closer and it's only the bloody oil filter internals so yes my cars is a oil filter eater, my mates boss has said in the 30 years of him being a mechanic he has never seen that. But now it has a new oil pump, new cambelt, new water pump, full new top end gaskets, new head bolts. It's now at my mates garage being put back together and mot'd So there's light at the end of the tunnel Cheers
