  1. Hi Keal, the colour is techno grey from Nissan. I chose it because it suited the carbon theme I was following throughout the car. If you have any questions about the bodywork or colour please contact Kieran at Harpenden Classic and Performance. He is the man to put this car right. I can help you with the audio if you have any questions. The company who helped me has since ceased trading however I am still good friends with the directors. I can get all your trims done in carbon so it's just a question of how big you budget is. I still have the original works vs-xx wheels. I had the arches made to fit these wheels. It can go seriously low but I kept it at a sensible height, as picture because it was my daily driver to and from work. Still respectably low. I wish you all the best putting your touch on it. I had so many ideas for the little Loopo I just ran out of time and needed a bigger and faster car...
  2. Just another quick update, Gates open for business on Friday afternoon at 12:30. Best regards, Mark
  3. Dear Club Lupo, As a former Lupo owner I would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and say we are really hoping that you will be able to attend Edition38's 10 year anniversary show. I can’t believe the show is only a few weeks away! We plan to have some amazing cars of exceptional quality (Inc some of yours!!!) on the show field, not just from the UK but also from all over Europe and we will be working extremely hard to host a show to remember. I can see you are all getting organised. That’s great, thank you. In answer to the question about a dedicated area for club stand, all I can say is turn up early and in convoy. Friday afternoon is recommended. Plan a meeting point and roll into the show together. This is really important. You will be able to exit after you have all pitched up for example to collect camping supplies. We will be allocating pitches as the clubs arrive. The amount of cars that arrive in convoy will denote the size of the pitch and the earlier you arrive will denote how close to the show field you will be. Other show information will be forthcoming soon. Keep an eye on these threads and please post up your questions in the "Edition38 Events" section on the forum. We will do our best to answer them as soon as possible. In the meantime, have a safe and enjoyable drive to the show and we’ll see you soon! E38X SHOW E38 BLOG E38 Events Forum Your sincerely,
  4. Maybe its the sensor in the lock. Moisture is affecting the connection and this may affect your alarm too. Try to dry out. Is water getting in the boot?
  5. Nice signature Club Lupo is a good place to blog your car. I will be watching. You sorted for Ultimate Dubs yet?
  6. Bonnet was carbon fibre and very poor quality. It had a nice impact but it was replaced with the origianal shortly after the photoshoot. Spent ages trying to sort it out but non genuine parts are never as good as oe.
  7. Thank guys and gals, Please email PVW and show the only Lupo there some love. Hopefully see a few more Lupo features in 2010 from you lot! Hello Carly.
  8. 9. Thanks guys and gals for all your comments. The car is now sold to a young lady who I am hoping will take it to the shows and more importantly look after the car. Check out lillupo for future updates. I will still be popping in from time to time because I still have a soft spot for the Lupos! Good luck all with your cars X Mark2Ikeda, back to work on the Mk2 now.
  10. The Lupo is going on a diet! I have just removed the rear beam suspension platforms so the Lupo is now sitting as low as it can. I do have a few ideas but these are based on a if the car sells or not. The main plans are to remove the carbon bonnet and part of the boot build. I have the original ali bonnet to go back on and a lighter sub and amp. Im also converting a set of 2 piece 16 inch BBS into 3 piece dished but thats all for now. A change of wheels can completely freshen up the Lupo. Te be continued...
  11. Got mine through the post last week along with a copy of all the photos from the shoot "Thanks Elliot" and had a few text messages today from friends about it. I think it will be on the shelves soon if not already. http://www.performancevwmag.com/thismonth.asp
  12. Hey people, The Lupo is in PVW this month. Grab a copy and make it a best seller! Mark
  13. No worries mate, Glasurite MA 747.00 Nissan Techno Grey
  14. Simon you are a legend! Well done matey. I had a look at your website and I havent forgotten our conversation about the stack clocks in the mk2. Thanks for coming over and speaking to me at E38. I will be in touch but Im still trying to get the TT dials working. Go to Rockingham, win and spend more money on the Lupo! PM sent.
  15. Hi Sam, Check out www.aiaudio.co.uk Duncan More and Baj Daddah are the MDs. I think most of the spec is on page 1 but I recently upgraded the sub to a 12 inch JL W6.
  16. I guess they weigh about 12 kilos. I'd say they are a similar weight to the original cloth GTi seats. Heres some more spec and options...
  17. Hi Kenzie, I have put so many hours into getting the interior just right. I still have a few other bits left to do. Your headlamps have helped so much to freshen up the front. The original lamps looked all scratched up and aged when I put the newly painted panels on the car. Im so glad I bought them off you. Thank you!
  18. Hey Paul, Jus wanted to let you know the backbox fitted just as you said. Looks and works perfectly and Im really happy with the exhaust! Cheers dude.
  19. Well words cant express my delight in winning Best Lupo at Edition 38 2008 and even the poor weather on Sunday hasnt put a damper on that. The Lupos at Edition this year were awesome and a credit to the owners. It was nice to have the opportunity to speak to some of you from Club Lupo. The forum has and continues to be a real inspiration during the ongoing build. Theres some clever s**t on here! I was helping my good friend Duncan from AI Audio educate and demonstrate car audio in BBG's marquee. It was really little thanks for all there hard work and a pleasure to do so. Its been a while since I have posted but at least I was able to get some pics on Saturday for you to see. Now Edition has passed I intend on finishing a couple of other ideas that I have for the Lupo and then I can sit back and enjoy it. I might even consider selling soon. We'll see. Thank you to everyone that commented on the car and expressed positive comments at the show. I really apreciated it! Me making a fool out of myself Carbon Bonnet with brushed boarder. What do you guys think...keep it or ditch it??? I have the original alloy hood to put back on. I had the bonnet painted at the same time as the car fortunately Check the paint when the sunlight hits...and no its not ANTHRACITE! I took the dash out and had it retrimmed in Recaro's Dynamica aka Alcantara to match the Club Sport seats. Centre console included. Be rude not to right? I have had the door cards and rear speaker panels retrimmed in Exmoor Leatherette. The original rear seats now match the fronts. The stereo surround, windscreen vents and numerous other interior fittings have been vacume vaneered in piano black polyester resin to match the GTi fittings and custom component speaker housings. 3L mag steering wheel with genuine airbag and horn push Snicky pic of my new W6 and 500/1 thats replaced the MTX 7500. 12 inches of sexual Bass. Enough to make your eyes water girls
  20. Cheers Bluloop! And is yours. I will update my readers ride thread soon, theres still more to come... Best regards, Mark2Ikeda
  21. Its been a couple of weeks and the car is back from the paint shop The wheel centres are all painted to match the car now! The wheels are VS-XX, made in Japan by Work. I have spent a few days removing all the paint on the mounted surfaces, removing all the sealant and cleaning up the outer rims prior to fitting them all back together. I took this opportunity to repaire the curb damage and managed to still keep the all important anodised finish on the rim. I have replaced the fixings with Schmidt high tensile Gold Plated bolts all thread locked and torqued to 22nm. The front outer rims have been replaced with 1/2 inch smaller items. The wheels now measure 7x17 ET 35 and the rears are 8x17 ET22 and are fitted with some seriously stupid profile tyres...and stretched! Next up, its time to fit the interior back in.
