On further inspection, the creaking noise seems to be coming from the gearbox/clutch housing where the I presume clutch cable is attached to an arm? Any thoughts? Testa Arosa

Just went for a nice blast, about 30 mins drive. All the symptoms are there (crunchy into reverse gear, difficult 5th gear and that blummin' creak!) I'm styduing heavy vehicle repair and maintenance at college, I've carried out a service on my car at the workshop there. I'll ask my tutor if I can bring it in to see how it comes out etc. might even let me weld it in my basic fitting class! Cheers for the help guys Testa Arosa

Sounds like you've got one smooth running lupo mate you could also change the fuel and air filters? And why not check your brake fluid? Always good to have that checked out mate. Oh and coolant, give that a change if you haven't done so in a while... Testa Arosa

The rattle is only there when the car is moving mate, difficult to pinpoint today cause it's blowing a gale!

Alrighty! My little Arosa 1.0 s is confusing me 1st of all the engine rattles around about 2,000-3,500 revs it's a really awkward noise. And it doesn't come from full throttle either, it is there whether I let the revs build up gradually or giving it some. (Which I rarely do). btw it is not the heat shields as I've checked them all! 2nd issue is my clutch is very squeaky when it's pressed and de pressed. I've been chasing the clutch cable and lubed up any dust covers where it may become exposed to general shite! Any suggestions would be very aprichiated! Cheers. Testa Arosa:)

So had a look at the other 3 plugs and they were all very much the same. Number 1 had more soot on it tbh. Quick question I'm a newbie so be gentle , car is running fine but as I've changed most stuff on the car just thought I'd get the plugs replaced, I have changed the engine oil ( mobil super 3000) oil filter , fuel filter,cabin filter also put on a k&n induction kit, recently changed the gearbox oil ( Fuchs 75w-80) and I want to finish off with the plugs ( any recommendations ?) bosch or ngk ? Or I'd fancy some iridium ones triple point sparking ? So have a look at these and would you change

Well, the car has been to the garage 3 times about this bloody noise. I don't think he knows what the problem is. Wheel bearing gone? A serious fault or not?

Hi guys, I've been having this problem. It seems worse when I'm turning right. Roundabouts are really loud. I don't know what it is, my mechanic has re done my brakes and timing belt but without success. It's driving me crazy! I would really like to know what it is. (Seat arosa 1.0 s)

It's not really more performance I'm after, it's just making life better for the engine mechanical sympathy!

K&N performance air filters?

Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my current 'stock' air filter. A friend of mine has the classic mini which is not a stock. Anyway he has a K&N air filter fitted, and he see's a big difference in performance. I have looked on the K&N website for a filter but not getting any luck. Am i looking in the wrong place? or does it just not exist? I drive the Arosa 1.0 S Cheers! Testa Arosa
