Hay thanks for the reply! but I went to work in it this morning and it was gone! lol a self fixing car!

Check Engine Light came on earlier, so popped up to see my mate who has VAG-COM. He couldn't get it to sync with my car at all. It works fine on his Octavia VRS, my old man's Octavia VRS, my old Golf GTi, my mate's Golf TDi etc. He has the cheap serial cable and free software from ROSS TECH, and it's worked on every VAG car he's tried it on until now. If he does the long, long search it does see the ABS component so the OBD-II port must be working OK. Any ideas or known issues? Anyone who has it working, could you tell me what address (01-7F) you get the engine info on? I understand that VW Lupo 3L uses 01,02,03,15,17,25,35 and 6X and VW Lupo uses 01,02,03,08,15,17,25,35 and 6N Cheers

my girlfrend is 20! she has 2 years ncb, its a gti she was paying £685 fully comp. she has now added me I am 25 with 8years ncb! and its now £725! the car and the ins is all in her name. she is with virgin money!

wel i will be there to on the sw-cc.com stand. but i will be in the golf. its a 450 mile round trip for us so I aint taking the lupo aswell! lol

The lupo is a red gti and stock other than a bmc filter. And I got a golf gti T also red stock with audi tt comps Have you seen my golf fran? also there is 2 blue lupo gtis around Neath 1 lives in cadoxton and the second is always going to neath collage around 8.15 am both stock.

If you unplug the switch and cross the pins in the loom with wire put the ingnition on and get a mate to have look at the lights they will now only flicker if you are not crossing the switch propely, but I am sure its the switch mate! but remeber to get a VAUXHALL switch!

Don't worry! we can't all be good with cars! as above, unplug the wiring loom plug there is some sort of clip, then un-do the nut with a spaner. its around 15 mm? I dont think you can put a socket on to it. but an open end spaner or even an adjustable spaner. tip don't go made when re-tightening because you will strip the thread, is only alu!

I've had the same problem with a golf I used to have. I thought i was the switch so I repleaced it. the problem was still there! I then had a closer look and the two pin conecters are just not long enough! when the two parts meet the contact area is aroud 2mm. and over a few years the conection is worn and the female pins open up. but all is not lost! the part you need is a new switch off a VAUXHALL gear box an F16, F20 and I think an F13 box. theses boxses were fitted to a number of astra's cav's e.t.c. The vauxhall switch has a far shorter neck there for giving more contact area by allowing the male pins to slide deeper in to the female pins! Plus the thread is the same in the box. FITTING; place the car in neutral un-plug the loom from the switch un-do the switch from the gear box place the new part in re conect the loom place th car in revers job done! PS I have only change the golf Iteam you may loose gear box oil if the switch is not near the top of the box. I hope that helps.

Well i am from Neath and I got a golf gti turbo and its my girlfrend who has the lupo. its also a gti. she wanted a sport but we saved and saved and we had a gti well worth it! why isn't every small car on the road a lupo what a car! and I can't beleave its faster than my golf up to about 4th gear!!!

hay I was woundering if there was a group meet around the south wales area? and also is the any one from this area on here? there is a good vw show in margam park (J38 M4) in august i think maybe we could have a stand?
