At some point in the not to distant future I will be looking at remapping my 1.4TDi Arosa but what I want to know is are there 2 variants ?? The 'normal' one and the PD one or are they all PD engines ? I ask because a mate of mines brother work at VW and when he ran my reg. through the computer it didn't say it was a PD engine. PD engines produce better remap stats I believe ? Any help would be great thanks

I've had my valance sprayed up now, the colour is noticeably different if you are close to the car but from a distance it looks spot on so as people have said there are many variants to be aware of

So, last Sunday I was rather bored and decided I wanted to change my interior. I took my ratchet screwdriver, and small flat head and began removing the centre bit of the upper dash. once it was all out I positioned my stereo so it didnt slide around and hooked my hazard switch into the top of it. Took a trip to Halfrauds and brought myself a tin of grey primer, a tin of satin black paint and a tin of clear coat. Over the last week every night after work i've been spraying these bits step by step and now have finally finished ! Had to miss a few days due to weather amongst other things. I dont have any decent pictures of the finished product back in the car as I have literally just put it back in. Heres the pics I do have anyway... (sorry about quality, iPhone camera) Very happy with how its come out, by far the biggest thing I have ever sprayed. I've also removed my tackyness, the orange from my front badge and heater controls. will get some better pics of the dash tomorrow, Comments & criticsms welcome

i did the same thing in my fiesta i imagine its a little more complex in these tho ?

Ahh I like the idea ! I have to be honest tho since I fitted them I haven't had a problem it's really odd, in the 'testing process' they would fail 2 times out of 3 but touch wood they've been fine

So finally got my bumper colour coded very very happy with how Geraldine is looking now (apart from ride height but shhhhhh !!!) the colour match is pretty close, noticeably different close up but from a distance it looks perfect ! Sooo here's the pics ! Also fitted some shims on the back for the purpose of my rear wheel bolts slightly fouling the brake shoes Pointless posting the pic as the difference isnt noticeable ! Comments please

As for some reason aftermarket stereo to work in my car I'm looking buying a Seat CD player from an Ibiza ('Alana Grundig' I believe), I've messaged on of the guys selling one one eBay and he doesn't have the code for the stereo (most on eBay don't :/ ) is there a way I can get this code ?? Is it just a case of visiting a VAG garage and they'll tell me ?

I totally agree, is it easy enough to wire up to the OEM switch ?? I've wired stuff up to flick switches before in my previous car but never to a factory switch

Little update - Very happy with how they look I'm not overly impressed with how the window fails to function properly everytime :/ unless it's just the way I've fitted it... The drivers side window I spot on but the passenger one occasionally stops a few inches short of being fully closed and rolls back down :S will take it out again on the weekend and try get it sorted but it's not that big an issue. My other secret update has been delayed by a couple of days due to my own stupidity !! Oh well.... Comments please

Was bored this afternoon so I decided to do a little something to my interior, not finished yet so I'm not going to spoil the suprise, should be completed on Wednesday little update coming tomorrow as well hopefully valance is going to the body shop at some point this week when I finish work early enough to drop it in on my way home !!

I wasn't too sure about these cars when they first released them but seeing how they can look I've been converted !! Your L'Up!'o is really nice haha Anybody else noticed that VW are very lazy when it comes to naming their cars ? They brought out the jetta, replaced it with the bora and now brought back the jetta, and now they've took the L and O off lupo to make the up! In a few years time we will have a Go! And a Po! As well

Where can I find a pair of mk2 arosa fog light grills ? I know you can buy a full kit on eBay with the lamps and everything but I don't need the lamps.... Any help would be great

Does the light work when you switch it on manually a if you were using it for reading or whatever ? If not it could be your fuse... If it does I had the same problem on my old fiesta, take the switch out clean it off check it doesn't stick anywhere and put it back in, worked for me haha. And it should com on when you unlock the central locking not sure about the boot tho

As above it depends how good the mixer/painter is. I'm having my front valance sprayed next week so I can let you know how close the match is

This thing is bloody pointless that's all I can say, I took it off with the intention of somehow turning into a satnav or something but it's not possible without chopping out the lower dash etc... It's really shallow coin tray at best if you made a tray to suit it lol. Car looks great btw mate
