I've resisted the temptation to mod for long enough and I can't take any more! Ive got an arosa tdi. I'm looking at a suspension kit (haven't decided which yet), but also considering the rear anti roll bar option from awesome also. I can manage those two changes myself, but I'm also thinking of changing the front anti roll bar also as I hear a front strut brace offers little improvement. How difficult is it to replace the from anti roll bar? And would one from a lupo gti or the H&R front bar be the best bet?

Anyone know this car? Turns out it's one of our old ones that has been re-registered and just had a letter through from HPI asking to verify mileage!?

slight hijack, but what diameter is a gti anti roll bar?

I'm sure it's (or it use to be) L001 for alloy wheels. I've had one mixed up by these guys: http://auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/ and it's a good match for touch up. It also matches very closely to body colour (artic grey metallic) of my arosa!

What's the tread depths on the tyres? could be interested and only in wakey.

Set of 4 BBS split rims. Just had full refurb with powdercoated metallic graphite grey (almost black) centres and the closest silver I could find to original finish on outers. The difference is these outers won't corrode, spider or lift the laquer. 15 x 6", ET45. Never seen the road since. Also set of 4 Nankang AS1 165/45/15. One brand new, two with 7mm and one with 5mm but has shoulder wear (still legal in my opinion). These are £42 each on mytyres. Show small amount of stretch on 6" rim. Located in wakefield, west yorks. Looking for £275 for wheels, or £375 for everything. Cheers fellas, wasn't sure about the decat thing for the MOT but if it's not needed, might be the way forward. Ithink it would be difficult to sleeve as the 'break' is right up against the CAT.

just found out my exhaust front pipe has rotted through just after the cat. I imagine the whole front pipe from the turbo with cat from the dealer is going to be expensive? Anyone got any ideas of how I can get round it? aftermarket exhaust? another cheaper repair?

cleaned the connectors and so far it has been ok, so fingers crossed. If it does happen again it suggests its the wiring rather than the injector which is good for my pocket!

Now more or less does it constantly. Thankfully got a code of 18074. Been doing some diggin and it seems it is either injector on cylinder 1 or the wiring loom to the injectors (the bit inside the head). Anyone else had similar issues or been able to establish which part was at fault?

Also it only does it when it has warmed up.

My tdi has got an intermitant miss-fire. I do 40 miles a day and it might only do it 4 or 5 times for about 5-10 seconds. Seems to be more likely when going up hill. Tried filling the tank and have fitted a new fuel filter. Have had a code reader on it and it threw up no errors. Anyone any ideas of what to try next? thanks in advance.

To fit in rear screeen when you remove wiper. Had to order three so have two spare. They are rubber so seal against water ingress. £2 each just to cover postage. pm or 07557 161145

Thanks for the comments. Paid a little more than I wanted, but they are fetching very good money with the fuel prices being what they are. Anyway, the ibiza is 2001, imperial blue, just less than 100K, full history. Not officially for sale yet as I'll be away in a couple of weeks for 2 weeks. Only bad bit is it needs a new rear bumper skin and a bit of paint on the rear. Otherwise it's a fantastic car and wouldn't be for sale if it wasn't for the fact I only use it for getting to & from work. I might actually keep it for weekend use, strip it out and get it chipped! 4 years after selling our fantasia lupo sport, I've just bought this tdi for the work commute: My link 1 owner, 80k and hasn't cleaned up too bad. Took me about 30+hours though over the space over 10 days. Do 40 miles a day (mostly motorway) to & from work and I reckon with tax, insurance and fuel it will save me £100 a month! Let me know if anyone fancies a mk3 ibiza cupra!
