Hello, tomorrow I shall be replacing the spring on my sisters lupo. Can anybody tell me what size the retaining bolt is on the spring platform??? Also any top tips for making it easy!!

i have a standard 1L lupo x reg, and today i failed the MOT with fast idle emmisons to high. any ideas what could cause this or how to solve it?? cat was changed 9 months ago for a standard but non VW one. . .

instead of the bonet, do the valence/ grill peice and mirrors. coud be novel in the green??

for the past month i have had a slight issue with my loop. at arround 3,000 rpm the engine appears to miss fire. but then from 3,800 is absolutly fine? has anybody experienced this, and if so can shed some light on how i can cure it. i have so far changed the plugs and leads. prety reluctant to get a new ecu / coil pack until i know it will cure the problem there are no fault codes in the ecu when i checked it with my VAS. cheers martyn

i have the exact same issue. is it a faulty sensor, as nothing comes up on my VAS??

hello, i had this on my 1.0 for a while. i have VAS 5163 on my laptop, so plugged it in and checked it out. the same 2 faults codes were presant as yours were. but i got the descriptions also. i finally traced the fault to be a loose terminal on the throttle body. disconect the 4-way conector and check that the terminals are seated nicley. hope this helps.

hey all, i have been filling my car with sound proofing and noticed that there are speaker mounting points cut into the body beneath the rear armrest trim. looks like a small midrange speaker can be fitted along with another tweater. has anybody installed anything into these spaces?? just wondering if it will give a better sound throughout the car if sound is coming from the rear aswell?

BP are upgrading there pumps curently. our local ultimate pump has the bigger nozel, so i dont have to get my finger covered in fuel!!!! i regually put 37-42L into my 34L tank!!!!!! and once brimed, i can get over 100-120miles before nedle moves from full!! i got 417miles from a tank. Hi All, I had a bit of a 'love nudge' with a lamp post last week. (An almighty 7MPH). But since then I have been getting a vibration from the front. At first I thought it was going to be the exhaust touching the body somewhere, but it clear all the way to the back. The noise only occurs under load, so I have had my mate load up the car against the clutch whilst I got underneath and had a look. The only thing that appeared to influence the noise was if I lifted the engine mount by the power steering reservoir. If only by the slightest of amounts. Now I have only done 30k in it over 7 years and it looks sweet as a nut. Has anybody had experience of engine mount trouble or a similar noise? I believe that the noise is originating from the mount and not from something touching the chassis legs, as I cannot see anything touching around the engine. Hope you can help Dibs
