rotating rumble while cornering
jakefresh replied to jakefresh's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
Haha Pete! That shaft is in constant use and is still mint! But seriously. I think I'm gonna check all the strut nuts. Can anyone confirm if there is a nut between the top spring mount and the strut bush? -

rotating rumble while cornering
jakefresh replied to jakefresh's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
Yh I've checked the wheel nuts and balance and there fine. No rub marks on the shaft or coilie and there's no obvious play in the joint or bearing??? -
Annoying! I've just replaced my stock suspension with my jom coilies. And whenever I turn right over about 20 there's a rotating dum...dum...dum... Sound that get faster if I'm going faster. I know it probably suspension related but I have no idea what in made sure everything is as tight as possible. Help!!

jakefresh replied to jakefresh's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
right! cleaned the throttle body and checked for air leaks in the process! success! it was sorted. now its idleing very rough, and sometimes just splutters randomly, after a read im thinking its the temp sensor? would you agree? -

blowing exhaust give this much loss of power?
jakefresh replied to jakefresh's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
OK so after getting the exhaust sorted. Still not getting the power I was expecting over my 1.0 after doing a bit of reading I've seen that the throttle body can cause some power loss and a spluttery idle. This is what I'm getting and when I accelerate from lights or a junction it stutters and then decides to go. Its quite unnerving sometimes. Help?! -

jakefresh replied to jakefresh's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
haha, the cat was fitted to the pipe out the box, and there was only one way it could go (one end had a flange for the mani bolts) -

will do! -
hello everyone, iv just changed the cat on my 1.4s loop 1999 and it has lost all power! the exhaust is blowing from the join to the mid section, would this cause massive power loss? it feels slower than my 1.0. the weird part is when it gets to about 3.5-4k revs it picks up like normal? any ideas guys?

Hello! I've changed my door on the drivers side and the central locking stopped working so I swapped the door loom over and the same problem so I presumed it was the lock/latch mechanism so I replaced that. Still nothing. The problem is that both doors do lock but they don't use the central locking its a Manual lock. Where you can gear the motor turn bit its not powered. Helpppp!!!!!
