  3. No mate I haven't really noticed anything, id say the angle on them isnt really a problem but the metal flakes dont sound very good, have you checked the thread on the top of the coilover? there shouldn't be any metal rubbing really
  4. I have the same problem but on my GTI they dont seem to move but are sat weird since ive lowered it. ive got Fk highsports if that makes any difference, replace the top mounts but still the same i took it as camber being different ? cant find the powerflex top mounts either
  5. Been thinking of re-locating my CDA, had a test fit yesterday and ive decided to go to the right of the engine http://s1127.photobucket.com/albums/l633/alexscotty/?action=view&current=IMG_05621.jpg bought some aluminium 45 degree angle pipe to move it forward and out of the way a bit more. I removed some of the plastic as you can seen in the picture just for a bit more airflow. was just wondering if a air bypass valve would be a good idea, I think the idea is that it doesn't allow water into the filter ? what do people think of the idea because everyone seems to mount them over the inlet manifold and cut the engine cover? Cheers Alex

  9. ive just bought a mk4 gti quickshift and it look exactly the same or very similar. only thing is i just found a video if it being fitted to a golf and its a lot more work than i anticipated. you have to unbolt it from underneath by the looks of it which requires removing the centre section of the exhaust and heat shield ect. can anyone tell me if this is right ??
  10. ive got 195/40/16 on my 7j wide wheels and they sit with a subtle bit of stretch if you can really call it stretch
  11. yeah i fancy a change and I was well impressed with that two stage polish and yeah i had mine given to me by ford
  12. has anyone heard of this company i had a sample of there two stage polish and the car came up trumps compare to my mates using autoglym and maguires polish was the smoothest the car has ever been. http://www.diamondbriteshop.co.uk/ Will buy some more of there products and keep you informed but does anyone else use or recommend this stuff ?? Cheers

  15. haha the boot is a very small glove box. cheers for the advice though, may buy a glovebox and offer it up and see what needs to be done
  16. just bought a lupo but i hate not having a glovebox is killing me ive seen this done in a lupo before just wondering how difficult it would be surly its a pretty simple fit but it is a vw any ideas opinions Alex
  17. no idea mate i just assumed that was the fault code :/
  18. ive got a lupo gti sat on springs atm. and coming from a corsa sat on springs i think the handling and body roll is terrible. sharp corners it handles fine body roll is a big issue but on the more open corners i seem to try and put power down or go on the brakes and it just squirms and looses alot of grip. i thought they would be great fun on just standard suspension but apparently i was wrong anyone else feel the same or have different views ?? Cheers
  19. am I right in saying its just a loose connection or is it a actual valve fault will have a good dig round tomorrow, see what im working. and cheers defcon5
  20. finally got up my mates house who has vagcom, it gave me 036906033 evap purge valve N80 open circuit from what ive read up on ( quick read ) is that it is the it vents off all excess fuel fumes into the charcoal filter and then releases them at a later date. if im wrong please correct me, but (open circuit) just loose or faulty connection i take it. anyone have any idea were about's and what this thing looks like cheers
  21. yeah mines the engine with the bolt through it. he did mention a full stainless system but i think its standard. will get vagcom on it and see what happens cheers for the help lads will get back with the results
  22. just bought myself a lupo gti and when i picked it up had the engine check light on. i fitted a CDA to it last weekend and the light went off and came back on about 50 miles later. car isnt down on power and seems to have no running problems what so ever. any advice would be great. Im sure there will already be a thread on a similar problem but cant seem to find it, so if you can help or point me in the right direction cheers
