  1. those pics look awesome, as does the the car! btw how much have you lowered it? I'm a fan of the 'doesn't look lowered, but it is' look
  2. cheers for the advice guys, much appreciated. think I'm going to keep an eye out for a Goodyear and sell the Toyo
  3. thanks for that Treblet. Oh i see, well the tyres arent on the car, I knew that running two different widths on the same axle is bad, so they are just sitting around until I decide what to go for.
  4. is your point about the handling in relation to the tyres being all different brands, or if I ran 205s on the back and 195s on the front? MOT isn't unti April, but why would it fail?
  5. Hi everyone, I recently bought a set of bathursts with tyres off a guy on here. Alloys are in good condition as described, no problems there. However, the tyres were listed as all being 195/45/15, but upon opening, one was a 205/45/15. I contacted the guy about this but didn't get a reply. I'm not too fussed as was planning on changing a couple of the tyres anyway. The tyres are as follows (all with 5-6mm of tread) Toyo Proxes T1R 205/45/15 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 195/45/15 Admiral SP712 195/45/15 Marangoni Zeta Linea 195/45/15 I know the toyo and goodyear are the best of the bunch, with the admiral being a budget tyre and I've never heard of marangoni, some internet research turned up mixed reviews. My question is, what would be the best combination to run on the car? Should I try and find a single matching Toyo 205 and run the wider pair on the back, with the Goodyear and admiral on the front, binning the Marangoni? OR Sell the Toyo 205 and try and get a matching Goodyear to run both Goodyears on the back with Admiral and Marangoni on front. OR another combination that you think would be best, I'd like to change as few tyres as possible as funds are low as I'm heading off to Uni soon. Sorry for the long post, any advice welcome Jamie
  6. ditto to using the forward/back seat lever!
  7. As it says really. They quoted me £140 extra to add some alloys, so looking to get some steels instead, but as they arent standard ones for the Lupo, should the insurance company be informed? Thanks
  8. Thanks guys, I found that thread but those seats sold unsurprisingly. Won't be able to afford leathers i'm afraid, the cloth ones are dear enough Sure it won't be hard to find them a new home though. Just to confirm, both front and rears do just slot in, ie no modifying of frames required? thanks
  9. Hi everyone I have a Lupo 1.4E which is fairly standard at the moment apart from some audio, but looking to do a few more simple mods. As my car is almost 12 years old, the seats are looking a little knackered, and so I'm looking in to changing them for some GTI ones..if I can track some down . Basically I'm wondering if they are worth the money in terms of extra comfort over regular seats, and also whether they hold you in the seat better. My car isn't lowered at the moment so it rolls quite a lot in corners even at low speeds, and the standard seats aren't great at keeping you sitting snugly in the seat. Any advice/comments/opinions are much appreciated thanks
