Hi everyone (anyone) Update on my visit to Norwich to get my roof looked at Robinsons the main dealer. Left my car they ordered a taxi to take me into the city (at their cost). When I returned they said they had taken photos of the rust damage, this would go to the body shop manager for pricing then off to head office, about five weeks. I explained that there were a lot of negative blogs on club site, they said will not be a problem they had already done four similar cases. The only thing that could stop a case going forwards would be, if the car had had a respray already, not their problem. Very nice guy to deal with, he welcomes any other cases. Contact Andy Watson at Robinsons Norwich 01603 612111, Andy said that there were clipsunder the black gutter cover, upon installation these clips scratch paitwork, rust sets in. Strangely on drivers side mainly. Roll on five weeks.

Hi When I got my car the drivers door lock had problem, key just went round and round, went to local VW dealer strange attitude ( if your not a farmer with lots of money to spend, not interested). Quoted £63.00 for new lock& key, would take two months to arrive, then I would have to fit. I bought a repair kit on eBay £ 9.99, took door card off, why do all the clips break? Took lock out, removed barrel from car, the kit had all the bits to replace any broken bits. But how do you get the spring back. Does anyone know. Put it back without spring it works. Love to hear from anyone that knows how to do the job correctly. Tony

Hi I've found rust near gutter rails, I phoned Robinsons in Norwich, they said new just what I was referring too, had other customers with same problem. Car's booked in for Wednesday this week, they will take photo's to send to VW, could be about four weeks wait. I'll let you know. Tony
