  1. Exhaust almost fully on, just got a bit late to be grinding on the path! Also just put the bonnet pins in the new GTI one, seemed a shame to drill it though! Got the AFH head and block back today , will begin rebuilding that tomorrow.
  2. Ah ok! Maybe some bits of the engine loom if we can't figure it out. Won't be for a while yet though I don't think!
  3. Ok! Pm me :-) is that a digital schematic by the way?
  4. Sorry just the wiring for the bonnet. I think they work off the heated window switch, so would it not just be a case of taking a feed from that? I don't know
  5. Ok just connected them up to a 12v battery, the nozzles heated up quite quickly, so looks like they work!
  6. Nope, they came with the GTI bonnet I've put on, but no use for them on the rally car so makes sense to sell them on... I'll plug them in to something tonight and see what happens ?
  7. no the standard ones aren't, yes I think it's the nozzle that's heated
  8. Got the piping and wiring for heated washer jets, and nozzles. £15 posted or collection from Garswood.
  9. Not much too exciting has happened.... But I have got a Lupo GTI bonnet fitted! Amazed at the difference !!
  10. I'll have the bonnet. I have a sneaking suspicion I've already messaged you about some bits on facebook.
  11. Good! If non air con, there's a access panel on the passenger side of the scuttle panel above bonnet / below wibdscreen. Held on by 3/4 screws, undo these then it lives under the plastic grate thing that you'll see, IIRC its 2 13mm plastic nuts that hold this on.
  12. That was my idea as well, oh how I was wrong. You end up keeping the parts for an age, and get next to nothing for most of it anyway. And, it doesn't make it much quicker! Drove mine with only one seat in before the cage... The difference was very noticeable but it was nothing special..... Engine swap or turbo it!
  13. Two 10mm bolts in the two holes you'll see towards the front of it (Remove the plastic covers), then pull the ignition leads off and wiggle/pull the box off with a little force. There are three breather pipes; 2 on the right, and 1 on the left that you'll need to pull off as well.

    Sport Exhaust

Standard one? I have a 1.4 16v standard manifold and downpipe, which came from a Polo 1.4 AFH 16v.
  15. Inlet manifold for the new engine has arrived, lovely! Also the tubing has compensated perfectly for the 2mm difference between manifold and throttle body spacing, so no need to fabricate a fuel rail for it now!
  16. In fact, I think you'll also need to change the immobilizer and the key ring on the ignition switch as well. I'm fairly certain this is coded to the ECU. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.
  17. Yes... It goes to all the connectors, in place of your current one.... All the connections on the loom should match up with the new engine, should be self explanatory. It goes to the engine and the ECU
  18. Haha, that's what they say about mine as well, you don't hear it coming! Still, 5 seconds behind one of the Cup cars is still very good! Will you be looking to run new management or just map the ecu that is on at the minute? I'll be going aftermarket with the new engine.
  19. That's a good result, especially if no changes to the car! More experience with the car maybe? Are you running the standard Ecu at the minute?
  20. Yeah I will be :-) Nice! Where did you finish this time? What gauge are you using?
  21. Haha that would save even more weight! You can't really tell from either of the pictures but the sheet has been plug welded to the rod underneath as well, just smoothed it off a lot!
