  2. someone on here is looking to buy my 16'' oz wheels off my rallye. all he wants to know is whether they will fit with no other work needed, like arch work etc. they are low profile tyres. his car is not lowered and he doesnt intend to lower it. i would rather make sure instead of telling him they fit but actually dont fit. if i try them on my R reg arosa will that be the same as trying them on a lupo
  3. the guy that supercharged the 1 litre polo make the kit himself. he has his own forum which is quite good. its httuning dont bother ringing aw tracksport as the guy is a monkey. tucked me up big time. had full engine done with him and charger setup. cost me nearly 6k after everything. lasted about 2k miles. he cut my valve seats with a grinder. he does kits but has a really bad name now

  6. say when ordering bits from gsf would the same bits be off a lupo as an arosa if the car is of a similar spec model and year

    this is going to be a very tidy project by the looks of it cracking bracket on cad. good work fella
  8. its pretty easy really to mount the charger. can make brackets yourself if mechanically minded. all you need to do is line the pulleys up straight. i would say the most expensive bit is lowering the compression if done properly which i would recommend, possible different injectors and a remap is also needed. gti injectors might be ok on a sport.
  9. true. the usual 1.4 8v from a manual car should mate up ok to an auto

  14. i just bought this for the misses today. r reg in red 89k on clock. all that needs doing is a bush on lower arm and cv gaitor i was wondering that is the engine on this ever blew up for some reason, could i use any other engine and still use the auto box. is this possible. could i use a polo gt lump or a 1.4 16v lupo lump and mate it to an auto box. its a tidy car but not as fun to drive as my old lupo tdi was was just wondering if a conversion is possible on these. the auto box bit confuses me a bit sorry

  19. just changed the oil this week on 55k, what sort of mileage does the timing belt using be done on. its a 52 plate
  20. lupocharged, did you use a spacer plate or different pistons and rods
  21. i have thought about the 1.8t but i like being different i was thinking of lower compression pistons etc. do it properly. or aint they available
  22. looking to put a lupo gti engine in my mk1 golf if i decide to get one of these engines i might supercharge or turbo charge it. how much work is involved in this as it would be worth me doing it before engine conversion. what you guys think. reckon i could get it to 200bhp would be very happy with that
  23. i would say the cv gaitor has split and the grease has all gone and dried the joint out with dirt and this is causing the knocking. changed mine this week
  24. thats a fast 1/4 time for just a chip and a induction kit is his car stripped out the 0-60 is slow as petrified says
