4 channel amp wiring question...
vince172 replied to vince172's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
cool, will make the false floor boot install much easier and neater -
basically i have wired plenty on 2ch amps and active sub boxes etc, but i want to do a modest upgrade on the lupos system. basically just want (and need in my opinion) amped front components, correctly sized false floor sub/box and suitable amp. h/u has 2 RCA outs. was gonna run a 2ch for doors and 2ch/monoblock for sub. question.. If i buy a 4ch, can i bridge the 'rear' to achieve the same i.e 4x160 wrms = 2x160w and 1x320w and will the amp allow this to be 'set up' or will x-overs be needed?

tried 20mm on the back of mine but were scrubbing, 15mm may have just been ok

well... the car has been into the garage and had a wheel bearing done and i had some 165/50 stretched on to the lenso's. this was the trip to the garage.. -
love her!, looks lovely in the flesh. shame about the centre cap :'( for a girl still in school, that's well cool!! see you at the next so-wal meet hopefully, then you can see Lauras new beast in the flesh! you'll love her! oh and your car is quite quick to!, easily overtook me in the ud convoy and we were already doing a fair speed, must be fun! keep up the good work!

fair play mate, you have put some effort into saving that little car.

don't give you a lot of earth do they! you can use any left over red cable, just identify it as an earth.

needs to go to a nice 'clean' point. i think in my arosa it went to a seatbelt fixing point maybe. the fuse will be needed to get the amp working btw.
-
handling and lows are 2 different fields imo.
-
its pretty simple. as above... find the grommet on the bulkhead (passenger side) feed cable through nice and tight, find cable up under the dash. when I've done it, i always take the fuse out of the cable until the very end of the job.

do what every one does, lower it till it looks good and live with the consequences.

tried searching before asking, but doing it on my phone, which is a pain in the a**. trimfix is a brand then i guess? -
yeah, changed one on my 1.0ltr mpi, was juddery when cold, guess it effects the 'choke' so to speak, coz gives the ecu confusing signals. simple change, cost me about 30 from seat.
