have you got electric central locking? also do you know which ones were static faults? sounds like at least 2 of them were sporadic/intermittent which means they wont be effecting the car at all, also try clearing all the faults from the car, the fact there logged could tell the ECU it isnt safe to start.

i think you'll probably need to code the switch? not very hard but if this is the solution you'll need to take it to a VW dealer for the computers

Hey I have literally just bought a mint condition 1.4E lupo. I plan to slowly modify the car over the time i have it but i dont want to do anything to drastic just yet. I thought something small to get me started on were the alloys and tyres as it has a pretty dull pair of steels on at the moment and the tyres are near enough bald. What inch alloys do you think suit the car and what tyre size should i go for? Thanks, Tom
